A lilโ static post for the love of dish soap. ๐ซง
Have you tried it yet??
The solid dish soap bar won my husband over a few years back, and won ME (a liquid soap lover) over which was no easy feat.
Once you scrub through the first layer of soap, the bar suds with ease, lasting such a long time.
No fragrance, no unnecessary or filler ingredients, just squeaky clean dishes.
I also LOVE using my leftover soap scraps for washing the bathtub, sinks, and shower! It cuts through grease and dirt like nothing else.
Pair with a wool sponge and a candle for a cute hostess gift!

a few questions inspired by a conversation with a friend last year, and sticking my hands in the soil today. ๐ฑ
we already know that direct contact with soil activates serotonin production and contributes to relieving the weight of depression. I call garden dirt under my nails a โmillionaireโs manicure.โ
we already know that trees and fungi communicate with each other.
but what if there was also an exchange between humans and the microorganisms found in soil? what if, when planting tomatoes, your skin informed the soil what specific nutrients your body may need that summer? and the tomatoes grew nutrients especially for you?
what if that is another reason to eat locally as much as possible and find farmers who actually touch dirt?
my brain loves questions like these! ๐ฑ

For those asking โis _____ herb safe for ______,โ this post is for you!!
Iโve previously shared this information in a post, and added a few new tidbits to this one! Iโve been referring so many of you to my older post this week, so it was time for a new one. ๐ฑ

Here is my story at LAST! Many of you have asked about my story and Iโve said Iโd share it one day when I had lived through more of it and grounded out my experience.
There are so many approaches to healing the liver and gallbladder. This is simply the path Iโve chosen based on my research (and the fact that my daily rhythms need to be simple or I likely wonโt follow them!!)
In all honesty, I feel as though this post is scattered and doesnโt even cover half of what I wanted to share, and doesnโt touch on many of the nuances surrounding this topic. I needed to get it out after sitting on this for far too long, so here it is, raw and real!
If this post resonates with you, please share below. Iโd love to connect ๐ฑ

A moment for our soaps ๐ฅน๐ค
And a moment for a Becca ramble.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved the art of noticing.
The tiny flower growing in the cracks of the sidewalk,
The way the steam catches the light as you pour your tea,
The eagerness of an ant carrying a crumb back to its colony,
The gentle hum of a bee flitting from flower to flower,
The way a loved oneโs nose crinkles just before they laugh,
The birdsong returning as spring is around the corner,
The crackle just before the needle dances on the vinyl,
The sweet sound of children laughing,
The way soap lathers up and the bubbles burst in the warm water.
To linger, to notice, is truly an art form in this modern world.
The other night I was applying our lavender oil to my skin and noticed I was rushing through the process, eager to get to bed and go to sleep.
I stopped. I reapplied the serum, noticing the color of it in the palm of my hand. I took a moment to breathe in the gorgeous lavender scent as I slowly massaged it into my skin. I lingered over my jaw, feeling the tension that had built up that day simply melt away. I studied my skin, and the tiny lines forming when I smile. I noticed the tiredness in my eyes, and remembered the beautiful moments from the day and the gift that it is to be tired and happy at the end of the day.
Why am I rushing through life with this sense of urgency?
To linger, to notice, is an art form.
To linger, to notice, is a gift to our nervous system.
I invite you to join me in lingering. Notice the weight of the bar of soap in your hand, the way it lathers, the sensation of the water running through your fingers.
Lingering, noticing, turns ordinary moments into ones that remind us of L I F E, and the gift it is to be alive. ๐ค
