5 years ago today I started beauty school.
What most people don’t know is that years before that, my mom had already bought me a lash practice kit. She believed in me before I even knew how it would all work out.
When I learned that I had to be licensed in California to legally do lashes, I felt discouraged. At the time I was a full time single mom and couldn’t afford to step away from work to go to school.
So the dream waited.
But eventually I took the leap.
Now 5 years later, I’m licensed, growing, and more passionate about my work than ever. My mom has been heavy on my mind lately, and moments like this remind me how much she shaped the path I’m on today.
I hope I continue to make her proud from above. 🤍
