Hello everyone! You’re likely shocked to see a post from me, since I never, ever post anything, but I thought I’d reach out with an update.

As most of you are probably aware, salons are considered non-essential businesses and have had to close during the shelter in place order. Until that has lifted, I will not be able to see clients. As soon as I possibly can, I will get everything rescheduled.

In the mean time, I know desperate times cause desperate measures, so I thought I’d give a few tips to hopefully help you get through if you are struggling with outgrown hair or gray showing.

Ladies, you can use a curling iron to lift your bangs if they are in your eyes, curl from the base, not the ends, this will give more lift. You can also sweep (or blow dry) bangs to the side to get them out of your eyes. Try styling differently and that may help, plus give you a new look.

If you decide to trim up your hair yourself, please err on the conservative side so I can fix it. 😊 For bangs, start in the center and curve from that guide across the left bang to blend and then repeat for the right side. It’s important to remember bangs spring up and shrink a lot.

If you must touch up outgrowth, please choose something temporary, so I can still achieve your normal color when you return to me. There are some great options available for daily touch up coverage, in mousse, spray, and brush form, that could get you by as well. I know Avon sells some.

I hope you and your families are well and getting through this all right. It’s uncertain times for sure. My husband was furloughed from his job as well, so we are both home. Our daughter, Brittany, is able to work from home, though we have’t seen her because she’s stuck at home in Chico. Missing her terribly, but healthy and safe are they important keys here. Our son, Branden, is an Assistant Manager at Sprouts and is hard at work. I’m praying he stays well since he is in the public.
