Lymphatic system found to play key role in hair regeneration To grow new hair, stem cells throughout the skin must work in sync. Researchers have discovered the molecular communication tool, part of the lymphatic system, that the cells use to synchronize their activities.

Fascia Mobility, Proprioception, and Myofascial Pain: “Possible pathophysiological mechanisms involving the myofascial unit—muscles andassociated connective tissue, nerves, blood vessels, and lymphatics—that may contributeto myofascial pain include neurogenic and chronic inflammation, peripheral sensitiza-tion, muscle hyperexcitability, ischemia, and acidosis [40] (Figure 3). Several of thesemechanisms may involve reduced or increased fascia mobility. Chronic inflammationwith macrophage infiltration and fibrosis of deep fasciae and perineural tissues has been well documented in an animal model of repetitive motion injury [42]. Because fasciae areorganized in layers, an important effect of fibrosis is adhesion between the layers withreduced shear strain.” (In rats)

Touch Therapy: Study confirms link between mechanotherapy and immunotherapy in muscle regeneration in mice.
“Immunofluorescence images show that when an injured muscle is treated with mechanotherapy (right), its muscle fiber type composition changes compared to untreated muscles (left). The resulting composition of the treated muscle is more similar to that of healthy muscle, implying that treatment helps restore proper muscle function.”
