18/8 Fine Men's Salons

Just an update for all our 18|8 Friends here in Washington. Yes, we are open. Just to let you know, we have always exceeded what the state has required of us opening. We are safe and waiting for your appointment with us. Take care all and stay safe.

Great news everyone! 18|8 Fine Men's Salons in Redmond will be opening up on June 11, 2020 for business. It will be business as what in the near term will be as usual. Business will be just a little different from the past. We will be following Washington State and CDC outline for a safe operation of a personal service business, which we are.

As you know, because we have our semi-private booths, we are ahead of many salons in the area for safety. Do know that the stylists will be sanitizing the work stations before each and every appointment. Here is a shortened list of what to expect.

1) For the first two (2) weeks, I will be making all appointments. If somehow, you have booked on line prior to today, June 6, 2020, your appointment will be deleted unless you get a call from me and we confirm. I will open on-line bookings up for July 1st and after.

2) Due to safety first, face masks will be required to enter the salon. We will be wearing face masks all the time also. This is for everyone's safety and well-being. If you have doctor's order that you cannot wear a face mask, call the salon. We will try to work something out. If you refuse to wear a face mask, you will be refused service. We will be practicing the six (6) foot distancing rule with other guests in the salon.

3) There will be no waiting for your appointment inside the salon. The stylist will call you when ready and meet you at the front door. You may not bring anyone inside the salon with you unless you bringing someone 16 or younger in for an appointment. You will be asked to wait outside once the person is greeted by the stylist. Please be prompt for your appointment.

4) If you are sick, do not come to your appointment. You will not be let inside. Call us first, 425 880-9900. Leave a message if no one answers. You are responsible to self-screen for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.

5) Upon arrival, the stylist will ask if you are sick or have any symptoms. We will take your temperature at that time. If you have a 100.5 or above temperature you will be advised to seek medical help and will not be allowed into the salon.

6) Certain services will not be done at this time for health reasons such as full face shaves and facial messages. Don't worry these services will come back when Washington State Health Department and the CDC rules that we can.

7) After arrival, do note, we will be asking you to wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds prior to you getting into the chair. We do have hand sanitizer at the front desk; However, this will not be used in substitution to washing your hands with soap and water.

8) No beverages will be allowed to be consumed during your appointment.

9) For now, payments will be electronically completed, Credit or Debit only. Cash will not be accepted. With a card on file, there will be no contact between you and your stylist or any equipment.

10) Note, any staff has been given the right to refuse to come in if they feel their safety is in jeopardy.

11) We be operating below the fifty (50) percent capacity level for the near future.

12) We will be cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces after each use.

13) Shampoo bowl etiquette includes covering the face of the client with a towel while shampooing to protect their mouth, nose and eyes.

14) For now, no walk-ins.

Hello all my friends. This is Steve from 18|8 Fine Men's Salons in Redmond. At this time, Governor Inslee has closed all Barber Shops and Hair Salons in the State until at least March 31st. This is the safest action we can take at this time. From all of us at the salon, take care of yourselves and we hope to see you soon.

Christmas Eve we will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Christmas Day we will be closed all day.
New Year’s Eve we will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
And finally, New Year’s Day we will be closed all day.
