I don’t usually talk about things like this, but growing up I constantly heard that lighter skin meant you were “prettier.” I was told to stay out of the sun, cover up, and avoid getting darker.
Well… this melanin isn’t going anywhere. 🤎
I’ve learned to love the skin I’m in, and I hope more people do the same. Beauty doesn’t come in one shade.
