It’s crazy to think that 15+ years ago little teenage me was rocking around eventing courses on this pony we got off Craiglist. He was unbalanced, forward, and we were warned he had a bucking problem. One custom fitted saddle later and the bucking issue stopped. Fast forward to this year, he’s still being loved on by a local lesson barn teaching all the beginners ❤️ He may be showing his years now but he’s still that pony I knew all those years ago!

Well I wouldn’t have called today a success but there were small wins. Scooby is not a fan of ponying other horses but we’re working on it. So when he suddenly spooked at a noise he’s normally fine with I had to let Dakota go to keep things from escalating. Good boy Dakota just stopped and then let me pick up the lead while I was still on Scooby. Small wins!

Oh to be as carefree as this horse!
Brothers from another mother! Lol these boys act like teenage brothers sometimes I swear! If anyone’s curious why my horses sometimes have tuffs of hair missing, it’s 100% because of shenanigans like this.
Come lunge a baby horse with me! How do you think he did?

A little behind the scenes for the schooling session part of last weekend’s show. He’s turning into such the little hunter. It is so cool to see his progression even over the last few weeks.
