How we feel is a direct reflection to the products we consume and the things we are exposed to in our environment.

I want to prove you that you have the ability to beat (or reverse) disease in an all-natural way, non-toxic way.

☀️It’s been a sweet summer 😎

So far I have (in order of pictures):

1. Traveled to Lodi, CA for a weekend away with the family. The kids played, the adults wine tasted, and we spent quality time together.

2. I was blessed with my 5th niece, and she is absolutely the 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 baby (I can say that since I have two of my own😝).

3. My husband and I took a 36 hour trip to the Riviera Maya, Mexico to look at vacation homes. We ended up falling in love with one that sits right on the beach, and we will legally call it ours in just a few weeks.

4. We celebrated my daughter’s 13th birthday with a snack and drink bar, a travel boutique in our driveway, a day of jet skiing, and a sleepover with her besties.

5. We spent almost two weeks in Florida visiting family. We had boat days, pool days, rainy hurricane days, and lots of food, drinks, and laughter.

6. We enjoyed our own little slice of heaven - our water ski lake in our neighborhood. We loved getting out our jet ski, getting pulled on the tube, and spending our days in the sun and sand.

I’m usually a fall FANATIC, but this time, I’m not ready for summer to end. You will definitely find me soaking up these last few weeks of summer.

How are you feeling about fall coming in just a few short weeks? Are you looking forward to the change in seasons or do you want to hold onto summer for a little bit longer?

SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE

New month = New goals

This month I’m going to challenge myself to do something I have never done before.

I’m going to do a 4 minute Tabata workout every single day for the next month.

What’s a Tabata? A series of workout moves where you alternate 20 seconds of high intensity exercise with 10 seconds of rest. You repeat this for 8 rounds for a total of 4 minutes.

Benefits of Tabata:
* raises heart rate
* Increases lean muscle mass
* Improves aerobic and anaerobic fitness
* Improves endurance
* Burns fat

Since I plan to do it everyday, I’ll be adding it to my regular workouts 5 days a week as a cardio burst and then completing lower intensity Tabata two days a week on my active rest days.

If you’re up joining me for this challenge, job and emoji below, and I’ll check in with you daily to make sure we hold each other accountable.

We can do this - Let’s rock September!

P.S. - if you need ideas to start today, do this workout:

20 seconds mountain climbers
10 seconds rest
20 seconds lunge jumps
10 seconds rest
20 seconds walking push ups
10 seconds rest
20 seconds squat jumps
10 seconds rest
Repeat one more time 😅

At this very moment in time, nothing seems to matter besides our health, safety, and our relationships with loved ones.

As a massive wildfire is engulfing the place where I grew up, people are fleeing from their homes, patients are being transferred to nearby hospitals, and people are nervously trying to escape.

When catastrophes like this strike, it makes you reconsider all of your misplaced priorities.

Last night, I almost skipped putting my son to bed so I could finish adding my grocery items to my online cart. I had to stop and say to myself, “I can do this after he goes to bed. I never want to take these little moments for granted.” So I put down my phone and gave both my kids extra love last night.

It’s unfortunate that sometimes it takes tragedy to get us to realign what is important. If you are in a mental place where things seem hard right, I encourage you to count all of the things that you are grateful for.

Please pray for the evacuees of the Caldor Fire and for the safety of the firefighters working diligently to keep people and structures safe.

☀️ Soaking up the last days of summer 🌴

Usually I’m excited for summer to end, but this year I want to drag summer out just a 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 bit longer.

Nothing says summer like 100° weather, pool time, and palm trees, am I right?

I’d love to know your favorite memory from this summer. Drop it in the comments below!

Would you rather spend your money promoting wellness or treating illness?

It may cost more to eat organic and healthier foods, but the cost upfront will end up saving you in the long run.

If you think that you don’t have time to work out or move your body, how do you think you’ll feel when you are forced to take time away from work and other activities due to an illness?

It may cost you more effort to make lifestyle changes instead of taking a pill, but lifestyle changes set you up for success in the future. Let’s stop trying to put a Band-Aid on health problems.

The best things in life are some of the hardest things to gain and maintain. Same applies to your Health. However, you get the greatest return on your investment when you invest time, money, and effort.

The only thing holding you back from where you are now and where you want to be is the conversations you are having with yourself.

Change your inner dialogue, take the harder route, and I promise you will be so proud of yourself for doing so.

Let’s have some fun on this Tuesday….time to play 4 truths and a lie!

1 - I have been to over 10 countries
2 - I ran a half marathon in less than two hours
3 - I have an autograph from Taylor Swift
4 - I wanted to be a hairdresser before becoming a nurse

Ok, so which one is the lie? If you’re up for me, tell me a fun fact about yourself too!

If you could tell your younger self something, what would you say?

I would tell myself “𝘐𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬."

Be a goofball, dance in the rain, and sing at the top of your lungs. You’ll never regret letting go of what other’s think in order to be 𝘠𝘖𝘜.

My daughter used to get embarrassed when I would burst out in dance in a parking lot. Now, she joins me. Life is 𝘴𝘰 much more fun when you’re not worrying about someone else’s opinion of you.

Your turn! Best answer gets a Starbucks gift card 🤩

Truth Bomb 💣

If it’s safe, it’s safe.

It doesn’t matter whether you are eating it, breathing it in, or applying it to your skin.

What you put on your skin is absorbed into the bloodstream and can have a profound effect on your health and hormones.

Choosing safe products doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice quality. You can still get high quality cleaning products without harmful chemicals. You can still eat delicious food without artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. You can still have radiant skin and gorgeous hair without health harming ingredients.

Amy is my name, and safe 𝘢𝘯𝘥 effective is my game 😉

Scoop ingredients into a bowl and add toppings of choice. Here are some of my favorites:

•unsweetened coconut flakes
•fresh fruit
•granola
•1 TBSP peanut butter
•cacao nibs

The options are endless - make it your own!

Consistency is greater than perfection 💫

You don’t have to give up your favorite food, stop drinking wine, or spend hours in the gym.

Being healthy is not restrictive if you’re doing it right. It’s a balance between what you should do and what you want to do.

No one is perfect, no matter what you see on Instagram, in magazines, or read on the internet.

Just. Be. Consistent.

I love an intense workout, a green smoothie, and a beet salad, but I also looooove a good margarita. Its all about balance 😉

Now tell me, what would be the hardest thing for you to give up? Let me know if the comments!

Calling all iced coffee lovers

I’m usually an extra hot coffee kind of girl, buuuut with the temps in the 90’s these days, I needed something refreshing instead.

What you’ll need ⬇️

☕️ Milk of choice (I used organic oat milk)
☕️ Coconut sugar
☕️ Coffee or espresso
☕️ Ice
☕️ Pure vanilla extract (optional)

Throw it all together ⬇️

•Place 1/2 to 1 tsp coconut sugar in the bottom of a glass
•Fill glass 1/3 to 1/2 full with milk and stir to combine with sugar (add vanilla if desired)
•Fill glass 2/3 full of ice
•Pour coffee or espresso over ice
•Stir to combine
•Top with cinnamon, toasted cononut flakes, or whatever your hearts desires!

Be sure to save for later?

So, are you a hot or iced coffee drinker? I’d love to know!
