Excited to participate is . As a way to stay sane this winter, I have been exploring my creativity and for Christmas made and gifted a bunch of tiny art. And then my friend told me about these trading card swaps. Basically you make 10 tiny pieces of art and send them in and she mails you back 10 pieces of art from different artists. Who knew? I am excited to see what I get back!

Skin on skin with Mother Earth. I have been listening to The Nature Practice Podcast with Natasha Deganello Giratude (highly reccommend) and today she talked about the benefits baby's get when they are laid skin to skin with their mother and then gave the invitation to spend time skin to skin with Mother Earth. As usual, it was lovely.

It is with great sadness, I share that Sunday’s walk will be the last walk I will be offering in the Reno area, as I have decided to pursue employment in California.
I have truly enjoyed being your Forest Therapy guide and have loved sharing deep conversation and tea with you. I appreciate the support you have offered and hope our time together has deepened your connection with nature in some way!
I will miss the mountains, the people, and the unique beauty that Washoe County and the Wilbur D. May Arboretum have to offer, but I will be enjoying walking on the beach and smelling the ocean air in San Luis Obispo County.
I will leave you with one of my favorite Sanskrit prayers in the hope that you, too, will love it and let it guide you.
Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavanto
May all beings everywhere (including the more-than-human world) be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all
I would love to guide you one last time next Sunday, if you can make it!

in honor of Earth Day, I invite you to take a moment to express your gratitude to Mother Earth in some way. One way I like to deepen my relationship with the Earth is to take my socks and shoes off and find some grass to walk on and as Thich Nhat Hanh suggests “Walk as if you are kissing the Earth with your feet.”
A pause to notiice her, a simple greeting, a prayer for her wellbeing, a kind guesture, or a heart felt thank you works too.

What is mental exhaustion? Mental exhaustion is a feeling of extreme tiredness, characterized by other feelings, including apathy, anxiety, and irritability. You may be mentally exhausted if you've recently undergone long-term stress, find it hard to focus on tasks, or lack interest in activities you usually enjoy.
Forest Bathing (slowing down and spending time interating with nature) has been proven to reduce cortisol levels, enhance a sense of wellbeing, and promote wellness.
Experience a sense of restoration from all the madness life offers this Sunday.
3/16/25 1:00 to 3:30 p.m at the Wilbur D. May Arboretum .
