A lot of female entrepreneurs assume they need more business confidence before they make the pitch, raise the price, show their face, or make the bigger ask.

But sometimes you already know exactly what you want to do.

šŸ‘‰The useful question is:

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FEW SECONDS WHEN DOING IT BECOMES REAL?

There’s a reason the loop can get sticky:
if backing away quickly reduces the discomfort, that relief can make the same avoidance response easier to reach for again next time.

So before you call yourself an overthinker or decide you need another strategy, watch the sequence:

body → story → relief behavior.

You don’t have to solve it from an Instagram carousel.

But once you can see the moment, you finally have somewhere specific to work.

That’s exactly what ā€œMake the Moveā€ is for.

Comment MOVE and I’ll send you the details. šŸ¤

You didn’t need a better pitch.
You had the words.
You knew what you wanted to say.

And then the moment arrived — the important client, the person you wanted to impress, the opening you’d been waiting for — and somehow you ended up talking about the weather instead. šŸ™„

That’s the part I care about.

Not the preparation.

The half-second where your business confidence disappears into second-guessing, hesitation, or the urge to make yourself smaller.

Because for a lot of female entrepreneurs, the problem isn’t lack of strategy.

It’s what happens when the strategy suddenly requires visibility, uncertainty, or the possibility of hearing no.

That moment can be worked.

ā€œMake the Moveā€ is the private session where we do exactly that.

Comment MOVE and I’ll send you the details. šŸ‘€

Before trying to talk yourself into making the pitch, notice these three things:

1. Where does your body react?
Maybe something tightens, drops, gets hot, restless, heavy, whatever your response looks like.

2. What story shows up alongside it?
What if they think I’m ridiculous?
What if I’m not ready?
What if this changes how they see me?

3. What do you do next that makes the discomfort ease?
Research more. Rewrite it. Ask someone else. Tell yourself tomorrow will be better.

That last one is especially interesting.

Because sometimes the behavior that gives you immediate relief is also the behavior that keeps delaying the move you already know you want to make.

With her, I gave her personalized quick practices to try the next time that exact moment showed up so she had another option besides automatically backing away.

That’s exactly what the Somatic lens inside MAKE THE MOVE is for.

Bring me one move you keep avoiding.

We’ll look at what happens in your body at the point of action and work out what you can practice instead.

Comment MOVE and I’ll send you the details. šŸ¤

If you’re a female entrepreneur who already knows what she wants to do but keeps second-guessing, overthinking, delaying visibility, or making the bigger move smaller, you probably don’t need more strategy advice.

You may need to look at what happens in the moment you actually have to execute it.

That’s the work I’m interested in.

Business confidence isn’t just knowing what to do.

It’s being able to stay with yourself long enough to actually do it.

If that gap between knowing and doing sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

09/26/2026

The truth about why you’re stuck at your current business plateau:

It’s rarely a strategy problem. It’s an expansion problem.

When you tell yourself, ā€œThis is the month I launch the high-ticket programā€ or ā€œThis is the year I scale,ā€ your mind is ready. But your nervous system is fiercely protective of where you are right now.

To your body, the ā€œbigger lifeā€ means:

• More visibility (which feels like a risk of criticism)
• More money (which feels like a risk of losing control)
• More responsibility (which feels like a risk of exhaustion)

So, it quietly chooses the familiar. It chooses the scrolling, the endless tweaking of your website, or the administrative busywork.

HOW TO BREAK THE CYCLE:

You have to widen your physical capacity to receive before you can scale your business. Try this somatic micro-step today:

The 2-Minute Capacity Check:

ā˜‘ļøNext time you think about a big goal, notice where your body tightens (chest, jaw, stomach).

ā˜‘ļøSit with that tightness for 90 seconds without trying to fix it or run away. Take a deep breath into it. You are teaching your brain that you can handle the physical sensation of growth without collapsing or quitting.

This is exactly how we begin bridging mindset and somatic work to build businesses that actually feel sustainable.

In Part 2, I’m breaking down the Design Thinking framework to help you strategically redesign your daily actions for that bigger vision.

You have the clearest read in the room.
And somehow, you still say the least.
You know what you’d charge, what you’d pitch, what you actually think.

At 3am. In the shower. On the drive home after the meeting where you nodded along instead.

But when the actual moment arrives?

You soften the sentence.
Open another tab.
Journal about what’s coming up.
Research how other female entrepreneurs are doing it.
Tweak the strategy.
Decide you need to get really clear before you move.

And that’s what makes this pattern so sneaky:

A lot of those things are genuinely useful.

I journal. I strategize. I think things through.

But the tools that help us grow can also become beautifully intelligent places to hide.

You can spend three hours preparing for exposure...
without ever exposing yourself.

That’s THE BRILLIANT BYSTANDER.

Not lazy or incapable.
But often incredibly intelligent, self-aware, and able to produce VERY convincing reasons to wait. 🄸

Meanwhile, the next level of your business probably requires information you can’t get from another journal entry.

Send the pitch.
Name the price.
Publish the opinion.

Try something that might not work and let reality answer you back.šŸ”„

That’s where the EXPERIMENTER begins.

Not when you finally know enough.

WHEN YOU BECOME WILLING TO FIND OUT.

If you recognized yourself in the Brilliant Bystander, stay close. šŸ¤

I’m going to be talking a lot more about what happens when you become the Experimenter.

Growth requires deliberately stepping beyond what your body already knows.
Not recklessly.
Grounded. Aware. On purpose.

The life and business you have today were built through behaviors your body already knows well.

If you want something different, insight alone isn’t enough.
You need deliberate experiences at the edge of what feels familiar: the moment you want to soften the opinion, avoid the rejection, delay the visible move or choose the safer option.

Ground the body.
Notice the resistance.

Then practice a different behavior while you’re there.
That’s where somatics, behavior change and design thinking meet.

Follow if you’re building a bigger vision and want a practical way to become the person who can create it.

You can know you need to speak up, be more direct and trust your expertise and still feel yourself soften the sentence the moment rejection becomes possible.

That isn’t always a confidence problem.

Sometimes it’s an old behavioral response happening faster than your conscious mind can intervene.

This is where somatic work and behavior change meet.

Notice where fear of rejection shows up in your body. Ground yourself enough to stay with the discomfort. Then deliberately practice a different response.

Because every time you stop editing yourself into the safer version, you’re giving your body evidence that another way of being is available.

That’s body-led identity design.

09/14/2026

I’m in Oxford this week, surrounded by researchers and clinicians studying trauma, the nervous system, the body and what makes human beings change.

And I keep thinking about something much quieter:
How often we consciously want one life while repeatedly choosing what feels familiar.

You want the bigger business.
You want to be known for the idea.
You want to make the decision without polling five people first.
You want to walk into the room without immediately adjusting yourself to everyone else in it.

And then comes the tiny moment.

You soften what you were going to say.
You make the sensible choice instead of the one you actually wanted.
You find one more useful thing to do before the work that would make you visible.

Nothing dramatic even happened.

Which is why it’s so easy to miss.

We tend to think identity is something we know about ourselves.

I’m just not that bold.
I’ve never been someone who takes big risks.
That’s not really me.

But who you think you are is not immutable.

And if you want to consciously design who you become next, you need more than an intellectual understanding of yourself.

You need to become exquisitely good at noticing the moments your body reaches for what it already knows.

Not because familiar is necessarily where you belong.
Because familiar is familiar.

Your vision can be bigger than your current identity long before your behavior knows how to follow it.

That’s why my work is body-led identity design.

The body shows us where the old identity is still being rehearsed.
And that gives us somewhere precise to begin.

Apparently the Friction Point Method works across the Alpha Quadrant. šŸ––

Your unreasonable vision may not be Klingon glory.

But the moment you think about doing the thing that would move you toward it, something happens.

You tighten. Hesitate. Start second-guessing. Research instead. Make the idea smaller. Tell yourself you’ll do it when you’re more confident.

That’s the moment I work with.

In the Friction Point Method, we identify the precise places where the identity you’ve practiced collides with the one your next level requires and redesign what you do there.

Because you don’t need to eliminate the reaction before you move.

You need to stop letting the reaction make the decision.

I have 2 private coaching spots available for October.

DM me GLORY and I’ll send you the details.

Happy 60th anniversary, Star Trek. šŸ––
