THE MENOPAUSE EXPERTISE YOUR WORKFORCE NEEDS IS ALREADY HERE IN NORTHERN NEVADA.
For employers, understanding menopause at work also means understanding the care, resources and expertise available to the employees they support.
That’s why MenoPalz is bringing Kiersten Gregory, PA-C, MSCP, founder of Revival Medicine , into the expert conversation at:
MENOPAUSE AT WORK: WHAT EMPLOYERS NEED TO KNOW NOW
The M Factor 2: Before the Pause – Perimenopause
Kiersten brings 26 years of clinical experience and is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner focused on women’s health through midlife.
She’ll bring the clinical perspective employers need to better understand what employees may be navigating through perimenopause and menopause, the role appropriate care can play, and why informed benefits, resources and workplace support matter.
This is about connecting the pieces: employee experience, clinical care and workplace response.

Access is the part of the menopause conversation employers rarely think about. An employee can recognize her symptoms, ask for help, and still wait months for an appointment with someone who has genuine menopause training.
That is why we are excited to welcome Sophia Yen, MD, MPH, MSCP, CEO and Co-Founder of Pandia Health, to our October 15 expert conversation.
Sophia is a board-certified in Adolescent Medicine and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. She is a graduate of MIT and UCSF School of Medicine, earned her Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health from UC Berkeley, and serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in Adolescent Medicine.
Through Pandia Health, she has built evidence-based hormonal telehealth and pharmacy care spanning birth control through perimenopause, menopause and beyond. For HR and benefits leaders, that raises a practical question worth asking before open enrolment: does your plan actually cover the care your employees need, and can they get to it?
MenoPalz is bringing together clinical experts, employment law, HR strategy and lived experience to help employers understand what is changing and what they should be preparing for now.

Most employers want to respond well when an employee needs support. The challenge is often not indifference, but uncertainty. What are employers permitted to ask? What are they obligated to offer? When does support risk becoming intrusion? These moments are about more than compliance. How an organization navigates them can shape workplace culture, employee trust, and the way people experience support at work.
That is why we are excited to welcome Michael S. Cohen, partner in Duane Morris' Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration Practice Group, to our October 15 expert conversation.
Michael conducts in excess of 200 trainings each year for employers across the country on harassment prevention, implicit bias, the mental health imperative, performance management in the age of empathy, and FMLA, ADA and FLSA compliance. He has been cited as a national authority on employment issues by The New York Times, Forbes, The Associated Press, USA Today, HR Magazine and SHRM On-Line, and hosts the Like a Boss Podcast.
There is also a family thread here worth knowing. Michael's mother was fired from teaching for being pregnant, challenged a mandatory maternity leave policy to the United States Supreme Court, and won a victory for all working women. Some people come to this work by accident. He did not.

Changing the workplace culture. Before employers can respond to menopause, the subject has to become sayable. That shift did not happen on its own, and understanding how it happened tells you something useful about changing a culture.
That is why we are excited to welcome Jo LaMarca Mathisen, Co-Executive Producer of The M Factor Film series, to our October 15 expert conversation.
Jo is a mom, wife, and three-time Emmy winning producer and journalist whose 25-year broadcast career at NBC's Today led her to the work she was meant to do. Named to Variety's Power of Women issue in 2021, she now produces The M Factor films, dedicating her time to transforming how women talk about, prepare for and live through menopause.
She will speak before the screening, which means you are hearing about this film from someone who helped make it. For leaders, her perspective is the one about narrative: how a subject moves from unmentionable to ordinary, and what that takes inside an organization.

There is a reason this event is built around a film rather than a slide deck. Information alone rarely changes how an organization behaves. Stories do.
That is why we are excited to welcome Charles Mattocks, award-winning filmmaker, executive producer and global health advocate, to our October 15 expert conversation.
After being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, Charles turned his own experience into a global mission: using film and television to educate, challenge conventional health conversations, and give patients a voice. His productions include Reversed, Eight Days, The Diabetic You and Trial by Fire, and his work has been featured on CNN, The Today Show, Good Morning America and Dr. Oz.
His newest initiative, Three Women & Me, brings medical experts, advocates and women with lived experience together for candid conversations about menopause, endometriosis, chronic pain, brain health, sleep, longevity and health equity.
His mission is simple: make health stories impossible to ignore, and ensure patients are heard. That is a useful standard for any leader trying to move an organization from awareness to action.

The workplace landscape around menopause is changing, and employers need both the clinical understanding and the business perspective to know what that means for their organizations.
That is why we are excited to welcome Dr. Amy Day women's health and hormone expert and featured expert in The M Factor 2, to our October 15 expert conversation.
Dr. Day has been at the forefront of the natural women's health movement since 2004, when she became the fourth Naturopathic Doctor licensed in the state of California. She is the founder and clinic director of The Women's Vitality Center, where her team uses an approach called The VITAL Method: lifestyle counselling, functional lab testing, herbs and supplements, bioidentical hormones and GLP-1s.
She brings the piece of the employer conversation that everything else depends on. What is actually happening during perimenopause. How those symptoms show up at work. And where informed support genuinely makes a difference, as opposed to where it only looks like it does.
She also appears in the film itself, so on October 15 you watch her on screen and then get to ask her a question directly.
As menopause-related workplace protections and accommodations gain attention across the country, HR and organizational leaders are facing new questions around policy, benefits, manager readiness, accommodations and employment risk.
MenoPalz is bringing together clinical experts, employment law, HR strategy and lived experience to help employers understand what is changing and what they should be preparing for now.

Most workplaces have done the awareness part. Very few have done the next bit.
Awareness is a lunch-and-learn and a line in the wellbeing deck. Action starts with equipping leaders to navigate these conversations with confidence, understand the support available to employees, and respond in a way that reflects the culture the organization wants to build.
That gap is what this workshop is for.
On Tuesday 14 October, 4–5PM at the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa, MenoPalz is running an interactive session for HR and organizational leaders. You'll earn 1 SHRM PDC.
Featuring Sophia Yen, MD, MPH, MSCP and Co-Founder of Pandia Health, and Morgan Massie, Co-Founder, Chief Learning Officer and HR Strategist at MenoPalz, with experts from Nevada Health Link

MENOPAUSE AT WORK: WHAT EMPLOYERS NEED TO KNOW NOW
THE M FACTOR 2: Before the Pause explores perimenopause and what employers need to understand about supporting employees in the workplace.
Perimenopause doesn’t stay at home when employees come to work.
THE M FACTOR 2: Before the Pause explores the years before menopause, when hormonal changes can affect energy, focus, sleep, mood, and overall wellbeing, often long before anyone talks about it.
For employers, understanding perimenopause is part of creating a workplace where employees feel supported, understood, and able to thrive.
And the experience goes beyond the film. The evening includes an expert panel, a live Q&A, a community experience, and a resource guide to take home.
📅 Thursday, 15 October | 4–8PM
📍 National Automobile Museum, 1 Museum Drive, Reno
Nevada’s first screening. Bring your team, your colleague, or someone who deserves to feel less alone in the conversation.

What looks like a performance problem may actually be a workplace readiness problem.
Sleep disruption, brain fog, difficulty concentrating and other symptoms of perimenopause can show up in day-to-day operations through absenteeism, performance changes, manager conversations and experienced employees considering leaving.
When managers don’t understand what they’re seeing, they can’t be expected to know how to respond.
That’s the gap MenoPalz helps employers close.
We help organizations prepare through manager education, HR training, policy and accommodation guidance, employee education and on-demand learning.
This October, we’re bringing that work to Reno:
