Meet Erin, skier, outdoor lover, and advocate for sun safety. ☀️
Growing up, Erin always knew the risks of skin cancer. Her grandfather lost vision from melanoma, her father battled melanoma himself, and sunscreen was always part of the routine.
But despite being diligent with SPF and avoiding tanning beds, Erin was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on her chest at just 21 years old.
Years later, she noticed a new spot on her face and immediately went to get it checked. A biopsy confirmed it was early-stage melanoma. Because she caught it early, it was able to be treated before becoming something much more serious.
As someone who spends so much time outdoors skiing and adventuring, Erin knows sun exposure can’t always be avoided — but protection and prevention matter.
