If u know me u know I have worn every shade, every length and every style of hair. As a hairstylist that has been my greatest freedom and form of expression. I've worn all except one cuz well... it was kinda like a forever look to me and I WAS NOT ready.

Let's just say I jumped off the cliff...made the decision and I am TOTALLY IN LOVE w/my new look.
Soooo... it begins again with a whole new level of style, freedom and expression. I can't wait and am so excited to document the growth and progress.

Salon C'est Magnifique is expanding services and will now be offering SisterLoc and MicroLoc services starting this summer in addition to our already grand list of services.

Progress Is Everything, Persistence is Key! Thanks to my lil baby steps while I'm not where I'd like to be I'm a long ways from where I started IN ALL AREAS of my life!! Knowing my value, my worth, my capability, my skillset, level of professionalism...
And while none of these things had anything to do w/my outward appearance I allowed that one area (my weight) to completely play into all of my other fears, doubts insecurities and so forth mentally crippling me and holding myself a prisoner in my own mind.
It is very true what they say no-one has the power to hold you back unless you let them. You control your thoughts but I PROMISE YOU...when I started getting out of my own way and stopped believing what "they said" and started believing A LOT MORE OF WHAT GOD SAYS something shifted and the more I started loving me and believing in me the more I started to FEEL God's love for me. I AM AN OVERCOMER, A CONQUEROR, VICTORIOUS, BROKEN AND HEALING BUT NO LONGER AM I A PRISONER IN MY OWN MIND!!!

Ok...stylist vulnerability cuz the pic on the left was at the end of a long day so don't judge me...I know you think I'm here to show off my hair but NOT TODAAAY!!!
Actually this is not a post about hair at all. I'm taking a real human moment to share about what has been one of my biggest insecurities...and quite frankly I allowed it to cripple me in EVERY aspect of life including...YEP u guessed it, my profession as hair stylist because we are the creators of beauty for so many ppl that often times if we're not ON ("looking like a stylist" whatever that means) all the time were either not good say what we do or doing bad in our careers skinner other thoughts I've over heard or had ppl dude with me. Btw.... I'll be sharing another post with you shortly but I wanted to share this one 1st for a few reasons.
It's symbolic to a lot of things we deal w/in life. I don't proclaim to be the most beautiful or attractive woman on earth but I'm also aware that I'm not unattractive either, lol...go with me on this...
Sometimes you can look at a thing and on the surface everything looks perfectly fine in fact it's actually pretty good so we have no complaints but there's always room to be, have, do or become more or a better version of something. But sometimes that goal of becoming can be daunting cause there may be a lot of ground to cover. So you gotta baby step it...1 step at a time, little by little....you might not see any difference or change but if u keep stepping when u look back all those tiny steps led you on a journey. I didn't think I was making any progress in my weight loss journey or other areas of my personal + professional life but I've got my FAITH and a spirit that never quits so I kept stepping, 1 little step at a time...
Everyone doesn't fight the same battles, have the same fears or desire the same things as you. As long as you stay committed, be it a long or short journey you will get there. I didn't see any progress for a minute but I also knew that I can't rush the process...I see now what I couldn't see before. So thankful for perception and God's unwavering love for me. I have a voice and a gift and I intend to use them both!!
