I'm a huge believer in the Law of Attraction. For the last couple of weeks, business has been kinda slow. I started to get a little fearful that it was because I'm not good enough. That is the soundtrack of my childhood... never good enough. Anyway, about the time I started a masterclass on how to build my business back up, this beautiful soul popped into my DMs along with 3 or 4 other clients. Apparently, I needed some time to grow.

I've wished that my mother would change for years. When I got into recovery and told her that I am an addict, and that I would be diving into my life, self, childhood, relationships, etc, she responded by saying, "I'd like to know how I fit into all of that." It struck me as odd. How does she not know? She was there! When I read this highlighted passage, I finally understood. She isn't willing to self-reflect. Now, it's time for me to stop expecting her to be the mother that I needed her to be. I have to learn to re-parent my inner child as well as my own children.

They say there's a difference between friends and clients. That's true for the most part, but I've in a while, you form a bond with someone. You know all their secrets. They know yours. You talk s**t together. You have a blast with them every time they're in your chair. You're there for them when they lose loved ones. They're there for you when you relapse. They may be a total pain in the ass at times, but they're your pain in the ass and you don't want them to go anywhere!
Becky LIVED!!! She lived so hard she was broken and rebuilt with titanium rods and s**t! I thought nothing could ever take her down. I was wrong. I don't know if there's really anything beyond death, but if there is, I hope there are Dallas Cowboys games on Sunday, Michigan games on Saturday, and lots of horses for her to ride in the meantime.
