Our power is out at the shop after a neighboring business cut a line during construction. We’re waiting for updates on when it will be repaired. We’re incredibly sorry for the inconvenience.

Haircuts and head shaves will be the only service provided for now to keep close contact time to a minimum and to keep a mask on during services. No face shaves or beard trims at this time.

With the modified Phase 1 guidelines in place, we can only have one barber in the shop at a time, so we’ve changed our hours a bit with Dale available 9-2, Howie available 2:30-8 and 9-6 on Saturday.

Masks are required, without exception for any reason, must be put on before entering, and kept over your nose and mouth at all times. Ear loop masks are necessary for haircutting, and are available free of charge outside on our hand sanitizer stand if you don’t have that style available.

Please come alone to your appointment and wait outside until your appointment time. Children and customers requiring a caregiver can have one parent or caregiver in the shop.

For your safety, barber chairs, tools, payment devices, and surrounding surfaces will be disinfected with CDC approved disinfectants before and after each service. Barbers will wash hands and change gloves before and after each service. Capes and towels are used only once per service before being washed and sanitized. We’ve installed medical grade MERV 13 air filters in our HVAC system, as well as an air purification unit with H13 TRUE HEPA filter and 30 minute exchange rate for the shop’s square footage. We also plan on keeping the front door open to help increase ventilation. As we’ve said before, we take this very, very seriously and will be doing everything we can to keep everyone as safe as possible.

We are so excited to see you guys! Definitely some big changes in how we do things, but we’re hoping things will go smoothly as we adjust. Feel free to call or message us anytime with questions or concerns.

We apologize for the silence. We’ve been facing some tough decisions regarding reopening. We’ve moved into this next phase differently than other counties have, with cases in our community still much higher than we’d planned for. We’ve decided to wait a bit before reopening, for the safety of both our barbers and you guys. As much as we hate to have to make that decision and know how disappointing it is. We’re confident that the mask mandate will get our numbers trending down quickly and we’ll be able to reopen safely soon. Thanks for your support so far. We’ll keep you updated.

Just a quick update from us. As you might know, stay at home orders have been extended until at least May 31, and businesses will be reopening in phases. Barber shops look to be within phase 2 of that plan, but we don’t have any concrete dates as of yet. We’ll keep you guys updated as we learn more.

We’ve been busy researching and brainstorming ways to reopen safely when the time comes....envisioning what the barber shop is going to look like for the near future, which will likely be a bit different than we’ve all been used to. As with everything else, there will be a new normal for a bit. Like the 1918 photo above from the last time we dealt with something like this, it’s going to take some reinvention, sacrifice, and patience. And that’s ok. We’re going to get through this.

Honestly, we’ve mostly been trying to figure out what day/week/month it is, dealing with teenagers in quarantine, and reorganizing the garage to stay sane, probably like a lot of you. And most of all missing the daily routine of the shop and seeing all of our customers. We’re looking forward to having you all back in the chair! Hope you’re all staying safe, relatively sane, and healthy out there and we’ll be seeing you soon!

So, You Need a Haircut but There’s a #%*!$ Pandemic Happening.

While at this point we haven’t seen any confirmed cases in our area, it’s only a matter of time before we do. We want you guys to know that we’ve already been taking extra careful and informed measures to keep the shop disinfected, both for the safety of you guys, as well as our barbers. Both Howie and Dale, as well as many of our regular customers, are at a higher risk of severe illness from Covid-19, so it’s something we’re taking very, very seriously. We are committed to staying home if we’re not feeling well and hope that you, in turn, will do the same.

This is a concerning time for all of us, but we’ll get through it together if we all do our part. We’ll keep the shop stocked with hand sanitizer (and water and toilet paper!) for as long as we can find it, and here’s to this all blowing over in a short time.
