Here’s a friendly reminder from our cosmetic chemist, Rina: if you want to keep your vivid hair color vibrant for longer, wash with cold water! Warm water causes the hair cuticle to swell, leading to faster fading as dye molecules are released more easily. We know giving up hot showers isn’t easy, but here’s a tip: if you have a detachable shower head, try rinsing your hair with cold water first, then clip it up and enjoy the rest of your shower at your preferred temperature. Your color will thank you!
