A Great Hair Day Studio

There's been a lot of fun and changes in the studio through the 9 years I was open. But it's time to close the studio as the cost of living is ever increasing.
I'll hopefully be back in a few years when the cost of daycare isn't as much as a mortgage payment each month.

It's a beautiful day to do hair for a wedding!

Being chosen to do a bride and her bridal party's hair out of the thousands of other hairdressers in a three county radius is something I'm grateful for. That I have a part in one of the biggest days of their lives is an amazing thing.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity and honor to do your hair today for your trial run and then again in a few weeks. This is one of the best joys in life right here.

Good news everyone! I'll be opening up an additional day or two in my schedule as my personal life allows for more time in the studio! These days are going to be going quickly when they become available so please watch closely for the announcements!

A little updo magic on this snowy Saturday!

Hey everyone!

Here's a little update on my maternity leave status as I've had a few clients ask me when I'm going to be returning since my planned return date of October 1st is fast approaching and I won't be able to make it happen.
I was diagnosed with postpartum depression at my 6 weeks postpartum appointment and unfortunately, my midwife hasn't cleared my return to work. She likely won't be doing so until the holidays at the earliest. At that point, I may return to the studio on a very limited basis. I may close until my two youngest kiddos are in elementary school. I don't know what the future holds for A Great Hair Day Studio at this point. All I know is that I feel like I'm letting you all down by not being back in the studio just yet.

Postpartum depression has this stigma surrounding it and the guilt that comes with just not being able to do the things you want to do is awful.

If you can't wait for my return to the studio, please let me know so I can refer you to one of my industry colleagues that I trust.
