Hey y'all! Just thought I'd start out with a little compliment since we haven't posted in awhile. LONG POST AHEAD!

We've undergone many changes in the past 6 months and thought it was about time to give y'all an update.

First off, WE MADE IT! We really hit the ground running the first two months we were open and then, well you know...pandemic. Reopening in June of 2020 felt so odd and empty, especially with everything going on in the city at the time. Slowly but surely y'all came back and finally after sometime passed, more and more clients felt comfortable returning and we were busy again in the fall/ winter!

As of Jan 2021 we had to pivot our business model but we are still thriving! All technicians are essentially private contractors under the Scorpio Rising name. They are responsible for their own booking/payments and if you want to schedule appointments you can still do so online or contact them directly, see our highlights! Unfortunately, we do not have our amazing front desk witch anymore to post the wittiest captions on our IG as well as keep y'all updated with the happenings in our story. We love and miss you so much Michelle!

Carly and I are no longer partners and Scorpio Rising is under my full ownership and not affiliated with any other salons in the Richmond area. It was an amicable split. Sometimes life doesn't go as planned but you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and KEEP IT MOVING!

As for salon policies, we are still maintaining our high level of disinfection and sanitation standards which we upheld pre-CVD. Since the lifting of the mask mandate on 5/28, MASKS WILL BE OPTIONAL FOR STAFF AND CLIENTS. We would never ask for proof of vaccination or any private medical information. Everyone will always be welcome at Scorpio Rising!

Hello Loyal Scorpio Fans!

What a year it has been! The whole staff at Scorpio Rising is so grateful for your business despite all the challenges this year has brought to us all. Starting our new business has definitely been an emotional rollercoaster but surely worth the ride!

The year ahead has required that we pivot our business model to be able to continue to bring you quality nail services! That being said, all technicians will now be operating as their own small business under the Scorpio Rising umbrella as of January 1, 2021.

We will no longer have receptionist services available. All calls will now forward to the voicemail. In order to book we suggest booking online or you now have the option to book directly with your technician. You are also welcome to email us still at [email protected] with any issues, but dealing directly with your technician will get you a faster response.
Deposits for online booking will still be held at 50% of the service price that go towards the no show fee if an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hr notice. A credit card will still be required to book if online booking isn't utilized to hold the appointment.
Payments will be rung out with your technician via Square.

We will each have our own Google voice numbers to receive calls and text requests for appointments or you can DM your tech on Instagram.

We have decided to re-open on Tuesday, June 2nd. Grand REOPENING party?! Maybe in a couple months?⁣ 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Here's what it's going to look like:⁣
⁣
-We will be booking services BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and online booking will be temporarily suspended. Appointments will be staggered by about thirty minutes to allow for thorough cleaning and checking out in between clients. ⁣
⁣
-We ask that all clients wait in your cars until we call/text you to come in.⁣
⁣
-Please wear a mask. If you do not have a mask we will provide one for a small fee.⁣
⁣
-Hand sanitizing stations will be accessible at the front and back doors.⁣
⁣
-We will not be offering any beverages at this time. ⁣
⁣
-Books and magazines will be removed along with the pillows and blankets from the pedicure area. ⁣
⁣
-No more than ten people, including staff, in the shop.⁣
⁣
-We will continue practicing our extremely high standards for sanitation and disinfection.⁣
⁣
Starting Monday 5/18 we will be reaching out to clients whose appointments were missed due to our closure in March. We have also set up a Google voice number for TEXT ONLY at 804-495-1541 if you would like to schedule before phones open TUESDAY 6/2! Or shoot us an email at [email protected]⁣

Thank you all so much for your support during this time whether it was buying t-shirts, gel removal kits or giftcards. Being a brand new small business forced to close due to a pandemic would have been the last thing we would've factored in as a 'what if?'
