Beginning on 9/20 the price of my services will increase. All new & existing appointments from that date on will reflect the new pricing.

This increase is necessary to cover the cost of product and other business expenses as I grow and expand; as well as enable me to continually invest in further education & equipment to provide you the best service possible.

♡HAIR GROWTH CYCLES♡

DID YOU KNOW YOU HAVE 3 DIFFERENT HAIR GROWTH CYCLES? Now ya do!

But what does this have to do with waxing?
Let me explain:

Since we have 3 hair growth cycles, we have some hair that is brand new which means it is being pulled directly from the root when waxed, this is the ideal stage. Then we have some hair that is transitioning, it is no longer connected to the follicle and is being pushed up toward the skin. Lastly we have the last phase which is where the hair is resting and ready to fall out, normally being pushed out by a new hair ready to grow.

When you begin waxing for the first time or first time in a long time, you can notice little black dots or faster regrowth, these are those last 2 cycles of hair coming to the surface.

That is why I always say to start waxing 3 months prior to any vacation or event you’d like to be hair free as it allows the hair cycles to even out giving you that perfect wax!

Waxing takes time and consistency to receive desired results. Always prebook your appointment 4-6 weeks out to stay on schedule to continuously get a perfect wax and reap the benefits of slower and thinner hair growth!

♡HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR WAX♡

Waxing removes the entire hair from the skin, follicle and all. This means good pre wax prep is crucial to improve the longevity and perfection of your wax. It’s essential for avoiding skin irritation and making sure no stubborn surface ingrowns are left behind!


♡ MAKE SURE THE HAIR IS LONG ENOUGH TO WAX
- I recommend AT LEAST 3 weeks of no shaving prior to your appointment. This ensures the hair is long enough for the wax to adhere and pick up the hair without breaking it.

♡ EXFOLIATE
- gently exfoliate your skin with a good exfoliant (scrub & exfoliating mitt or chemical exfoliant) 24 hours before your appointment. This will help loosen any trapped hairs that could remain under the surface of the skin after your wax is completed.

♡ STOP USING RETINOL, TOPICAL ACNE MEDICATIONS AND AHA/BHA ACIDS 7 DAYS PRIOR TO WAXING
- these products contraindicate your waxing service. They make your skin SUPER SENSITIVE, and super sensitive, thin skin is more vulnerable to lifting and that’s the last thing we want! If you have any questions, switched up your skin care routine or started any new medications please reach out to me to make sure it’s safe for you to come in for your service!

♡ TAKE AN IBUPROFEN
- it’s won’t numb you but it can take the edge off and minimize the discomfort during your appointment! I recommend taking one 30-45 minutes prior to your appointment.

♡ AVOID ALCOHOL & CAFFEINE
- right before your wax it’s better to avoid these, they can enhance the discomfort felt because they cause increased sensitivity to the skin.
