Early May, Inc.

The Chesterfield County Fair has been an experience.

Nine days of heat, long hours, and some very slow moments.

But I learned SO much.

Honestly, I think I learned more at this event than I have at any other event I've done.

Because when things were slow, I watched.

I paid attention to what people picked up and immediately put back down.

I noticed what they smelled twice. I noticed their reactions.

I noticed what they came back for. What they asked for that I didn't have.

What products needed more explanation. What people understood immediately.

What they wanted in a different size. What they wanted bundled together.

I watched and I listened. I realized that I don't just want to sell more products. I want to build a better business.

This was an opportunity to really understand my customer. Who knew growth looked like slow days? Who knew I'd leave with a clearer vision for Early May? I sure didn't.

I'm grateful. I've also met some of the most incredible people here and I'm excited about the future.

So, yes... the Chesterfield County Fair has been an experience. But a necessary one. 🤍
