Like me for example, I gave myself a cut recently and it was the first one in over a YEAR - yup, your hairstylist can neglect their hair sometimes too- & I only trimmed about 2 inches off knowing I’ve had inchheessss of growth & then have the nerve to get annoyed when it’s knotted up after day 3.

When it comes to hair, you results will 100% depend on your consistency over time.

Day 5 of 29 ! 🧚🏽

1. I was so stressed about color in cosmetology school I swear it sounded like a different language to me, truly! The more clients I took, the more I learned from others around me, the easier it became! All of a sudden everything made sense all at once including the color wheel 🤣

2. It’s going to happen, don’t let it get to you! It could be for so many reasons & chances are most of them will be back in your chair!

3. I’m not saying I cut the best bob ever right out of school, but, I never ran from them like lots of stylist do. & if you are a runner yourself I get it.. I promise I do. Just like formulating the more you cut a bob the more you’ll understand the same basic angels are needed just to different extents.

4.Listen to me when I say not all money is good money! & this is my favorite part about working for myself. 99% of the time I attract the right clients for me.. if I feel someone’s vibe doesn’t match mine I will respectfully let them know I’m not the stylist for them.

5. Having a timeline on your goals is GREAT! At the same time do not hold yourself back if the opportunity presents itself sooner than expected! It’s okay to be uncomfortable because after that come growth, every time!
