In honor of May being Skin Cancer Awareness Month, our whole staff is wearing black every Thursday.

Skin cancer is America’s most common cancer and also one of the most preventable. This month is a time for us to speak up about the dangers of skin cancer and share the importance of sun protection.

•Stay in the shade if possible.
•AVOID tanning beds.
•Cover up with clothing, hats, and sunglasses.
•Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
•Apply SPF 30 minutes before going outside and reapply every 2 hours.
•Examine your skin every month.
•See your dermatologist at least once a year for a professional skin exam.
