PRO TIP: When creating a timeline for makeup I ALWAYS make sure the bride’s makeup is completed by the time the photographer arrives. We can always go back to do “mock” getting ready photos, which imo look more aesthetically pleasing anyways. But I think every MUA can agree that as soon as the photographer arrives things start to get a bit hectic and I’d rather the bride not be in my chair for that. I try to make the glam portion of my bride’s day as calming, relaxing, and peaceful as possible. So to avoid anything but that, I try to make sure the brides makeup is completed or close to it by the time the photographer arrives! Touch ups are a must before I head out to ensure the glam is still in top notch. 🤌🏼 oh, and the bride NEVER goes last for makeup. I feel like that’s a given but I felt the need to add that in there. 😅
