One more side to gold leaf…
This gold leaf paint takes at least 3 coats and the trim is so intricate…
Since I have had to minimize my time on my feet this week, I have been able to paint by sitting and laying down…
Sooo much to do to get ready for the gala … 😍

If you know my 3 year old grandson at all, you know he LOVES his cars!!!
He especially loves his red mustang….
Last weekend he took this bunny off of my porch setting and put it in his car as he drove around the culdesac…
It made me laugh but also made me think about what a blessing having friends is…
A good friend is truly a treasure…
I guess this bunny could be called a “ ride or die” friend …
He is there to listen and support and he is not going anywhere unless someone removes him ..
The best kind of friend to have…
A great book I love says “ A friend loves at ALL times..”

The top of the carriage is done painting now on to the carriage base….
Seriously.. who ever said a garage is meant for cars 😂
The challenge with gold leafing is that it needs a minimum of 3 coats..
lots of time and patience needed 🙈😂
But the outcome is worth it!

This beauty is here on vacation from Sweden and has been dealing with alopecia for 3 years…
She stopped in to get a few scarves etc and she left with this beauty..
