Unpopular opinion: curls aren’t a fad 🤷‍♀️ Over here, “the curl bubble” never popped; it just keeps getting bigger, more resilient, and floating along with us. Because curls, coils, and kinky hair existed before 2020.

Before we opened our doors in 2014, education of ALL textures was built into Parlor’s foundation. It was (and continues to be) essential that all textures, genders, age, races, religions can come in and feel welcomed, seen, and safe to get their hair done the way THEY want. It’s never been about following one method; it’s about how getting as much education as possible and incorporating it all to make a well-rounded stylist with a versatile clientele, who you can teach and encourage to wear their hair they way they want to see it.

Because the only one right way to do a hair is the way that makes you and your client the happiest 💛🌻

Broad St. there are very few things that have remained the same since opening our doors - but luckily Rachel’s face 1st thing in the morning has. There is no term big enough for the roll she plays and the brilliance she brings daily.💜🎂👑✨
Rachel constantly blows us away with how she creatively evolves with life, her roll, our industry, our community, and gives us grace to do the same. It is not common for a small business to have leadership so passionately focused on bettering the lives of ALL on their team, but it remains her top priority.
