When she was done, she looked to the students and they were ALL laughing 🤣 at her, because the FIRST equation which was wrong, and the teacher said the following;

✔️Nutritionally oats are all fabulous! They're great for B Vitamins, Vitamin E, protein and Minerals. Oats also contain Beta-glucan, which is a soluble fibre that helps lower bad blood cholesterol 👊🏻👊🏻. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➖However, the way oats are processed affects the Glycemic index of different types. Steel cut followed by whole rolled oats have the lowest GI which is beneficial for blood sugar levels, insulin response, fat storage and satiety. Quick oats have the highest GI therefore not as favourable an option because they may not fill you up for long.

➖GI of an individual food should not be considered in isolation. GI of a whole meal as well as the portion size are both as important. Even a low GI good in too big a portion has a negative impact on blood sugar levels and fat storage

➖Combine your oats with milk, yoghurt, low GI fruits, or nuts and seeds to lower the GI of the overall meal.

“As a registered nurse, I’d often see in my patients (and in myself!) the complications caused by being overweight and obese, but I have to say when I saw this I was amazed at the visual reminder. “
“This image shows a 250 lb woman on the left and a 120 lb woman on the right. We can see weight gain from the outside, but we usually can’t see what it’s doing on the inside. Look at the fat surrounding the organs in the woman on the left. Do you also see the fat around her heart and around her brain? A little scary, isn’t it? Look at the compression around the stomach and internal organs. Do you think that would have any impact on GERD and indigestion? Look at the compressed knee joints. Do you think those joints ache a little more than they should?”
WOW!! That’s eye opening! People every day are dying from diseases caused or worsened by poor choices and obesity. Is that cheeseburger, chocolate cake, French fries, etc...really worth it?
