It seemed that April dragged on forever. Didn’t it?

But let me tell you that by April 25 and 48 hours it went by in a flash!!! Now here we are mid May is flying by. I feel as if after my four days in Nashville 🛫🛬🎉 . My boots have been on the ground running. It’s been many days in the shop with long hours. With some clients bringing my attention to the links and book now button not exactly going to the correct site. While I’m not the most tech savvy person ever this old girl 👧 figured it out corrected the book now buttons here and on instagram. ( instagram is being weird but just go to the drop down menu and the book now appears. Apparently the only option insta had was a food order button 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️👍🤪🙀)

So recap new shop is up✅book now buttons work✅ and as always the links 🔗 in the bios are always working.

Hey everybody just a little fun character. We started the year off strong and we are still riding that wave. As some know I had worked on Mondays at a men’s only barber shop. Since the new year started I now have Mondays and Tuesdays off. It’s February now and I’m still adjusting to my new normal yet old norm. Loving how we all want to reset by the new year, well if it’s taking longer to reset that’s ok. Why is it ok because we really don’t truly rest this time of year. As some know we get back to the grind of life and schedules. The real reset happens as we gear up for spring. So let’s be glad that our January took like 41 days to get through it and now February is here love is in the air and the Mardi Gras is too. Happy rise and grind y’all. If you made it this far let’s go a bit harder in the up coming months.

It’s the week before Christmas. My schedule is packed. My schedule is full . There is a waitlist option through the booking link. Otherwise it will be January 7 before we get to see each other again. Merry Christmas to all happy new year. I truly appreciate every single one of my clients. Oh, and for those who know by January 1, I will not have my Monday job anymore. So let’s have a great Christmas and a brand new year.

💥 Why Your Hair Still Isn’t Growing & How You’re Making It Worse 💔💇‍♀️

If you’ve been growing your hair for months (or years!) and still don’t see the length or health you’re dreaming of, it might be time for a reality check. Here’s why ignoring your hair’s condition is costing you serious growth – and what you can do today to fix it. 👇

⸻

✂️ 1. Skipping major cuts is holding you back.

Here’s what’s really happening:
• The top, fragile, dry layers of your hair start falling apart.
• The damage travels upward toward your roots 🌱
• The cuticle splits, the cortex weakens, and before you know it, the hair breaks.
• Split ends and broken strands appear throughout the length, not just at the bottom.

📉 Result: Your hair becomes more fragile, breaks faster, and feels frizzy and lifeless – making your recovery journey take years, not months!

⸻

🛢️ 2. Oily Scalp? Don’t Ignore It!

If your scalp is too oily and you’re not addressing it, you could be setting yourself up for:
• DHT hormone buildup 🧬 (a major cause of hair thinning)
• Slower growth cycle ⏳
• Faster hair shedding 🍂
• Inflamed, clogged follicles 😖
• Bacteria & fungal overgrowth 🦠

All of this leads to poor blood circulation around your follicles 💔 – meaning less nutrients, weaker hair, and more hair fall.

⸻

✅ What To Do Instead:

💆‍♀️ Work on your scalp first!
🧼 Keep it clean, balanced, and healthy.

✂️ Trim regularly – even the top layers!
Don’t wait for the damage to climb up.

🛡️ Use the right products to strengthen the cuticle and support the cortex.

🍃 Fight DHT naturally by using the right shampoos, and supplements.

🌿 Stay consistent – and your hair will thank you with faster, stronger growth.

⸻

🌟 Final Tip:
Ignoring the small stuff now = years of hair damage later.
Start where it matters – at the roots – and the results will speak for themselves ✨💇‍♀️ 08/28/2025

This could be why you are not getting growth at the root of your hair. So let’s shampoo well and cut those split ends away. Loved how he mentioned the why of split ends and how the cortex is exposed from the cuticle being completely gone.
