Every wonder what it feels like to grow? UNCOMFORTABLE!That doesn’t mean shy away from hard conversations, difficult tasks or tough times. It’s all worth it to REACH YOUR GOALS! Don’t 🛑 until you make YOURSELF Proud!

What’s behind a smile? I don’t wake up wanting to smile everyday. There are things in my life I wish I had more control over. There are days I’d rather cry in bed but I’ve been programmed to be a STRONG BLACK WOMAN & push through it all. Well, Friday this strong black woman reached her limit and all the marbles fell out of the jar. I thought re-charging with friends and family would “fix” me. But, still no resolve. My mind was still filled with anguish. My heart and soul not at peace. So today I sought help. Released things I’ve pretended not to see. Actually shared my true thoughts and feelings. But because I’m human and understand the world I know that “Truth” is not always met with kindness or support. In fact, it is met with the opposite. Today, I encourage anyone that is going through something, having negative thoughts, feeling boxed in a corner, facing bullying, harassment or made to feel you have to hold secrets SEEK HELP! Holding on to toxicity is NOT healthy. Sometimes breathing is so hard to do in a world that smothers the truth. I understand. You are valued. You are heard. You matter.

⚪️ Life’s a Journey

5 Days into my 20 Day fast & I’ve been tested. I’ve kept my faith. Prayed more than EVER. Stayed in my word. Focused on becoming BETTER. & Tried new recipes. Lord continue to guide me. I’m in my word but I also know when to seek help as well. I’ll be sharing more of my therapy journey soon. I’m striving to be healthy inside & out. I know far too many times people sit in situations without getting help for a plethora of reasons but I urge you to seek help when needed. Find positive coping mechanisms. An outlet. Professional advice. But please don’t wallow in unhealthy thoughts, patterns or traits.
