hout the session, you will be on a table, on your back. The stretches will incorporate breathing cues and fluid movements to help you relax and regenerate. It has been described like a passive yoga class where the movements are done for you. FST™ is a unique, complete, and complementary system of table-based, assisted stretching that focuses on the fascia as the key element in achieving pain relief, optimal flexibility, strength, and freedom of movement. Fascia is connective tissue that permeates and envelops all structures of the body, essentially connecting them all together. It is a three-dimensional web of tissue that extends from head to toe, front to back, inside to outside, without interruption, and is THE most influential factor affecting your flexibility. In a normal, healthy state, the fascial system maintains the body in a delicate balance of tension and elasticity. Unlike traditional stretching, which attempts to isolate and stretch specific muscles, FST™ creates lasting change and dramatically improves your flexibility by decompressing your joints and unwinding the connective tissue “fabric” of your body. Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety, helps relieve symptoms to improve overall health and well-being through gentle touch. As a Reiki practitioner, I use my hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing. Reiki can bring on a meditative state, foster tissue and bone healing after injury or surgery, stimulates your body's immune system, promotes natural self-healing, relieve pain and tension, support the well-being of those receiving traditional medical treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and dialysis. Reiki treatments may create feelings of peace, relaxation, security, and wellness. Who Reiki Stretch Therapy? EVERYONE! One of the most ignored aspects of aging is the loss of flexibility in our joints, muscles, and fascia. As we begin to lose flexibility, our joints deteriorate, our posture sags, our physical appearance changes, muscular imbalances develop, and we become more prone to pain and injury. Daily aches, pains, and fatigue with no obvious cause are likely the result of prolonged and accumulated restrictions in our fascia. Studies are now showing emotions are stored within the body, including the connective tissue. It is believed the physical response to emotion is through the soft tissue, emotions travel through the fascial web. The physiological sensation is then interpreted as anger, affection, love, interest, and so forth. The reason your neck can’t straighten and lengthen may be because of the shock of emotional trauma. Fascia may become stiffer and less compliant when a client is depressed, anxious, and fearful. Enhancing mood may enhance the physical state through the fascial web.
