-When cells divide to form egg and s***m cells for the next generation, something amazing happens to the chromosomes, known as “crossover”. Pairs of chromosomes will shuffle around genes with each other, to create new combinations! This is to ensure that the new generation is as genetically unique as possible.

-The “telomere” is the edge of the chromosome, which is in place to help make sure a chromosome stays intact during the cell division process.

-PAMPs and DAMPs respectively are Pathogen Associated Molecular Patterns and Damage Associated Molecular patterns. The innate part of the immune system can recognize these patterns as part of a larger threat from a pathogen. They have receptors in order to recognize them.

-Interleukins and Cytokines are signaling molecules used to rally the immune system to an infection in order to fight it.

I’m so glad that the response for our genetic testing service has been so great! But I do want to make sure to give plenty of time to every client. So I’m implementing a change in policy:

-While I’m very happy to answer questions, the best way to get me one-on-one to talk about testing will be to contact me to schedule a consultation.
