I can usually squeeze in a haircut or brow wax here and there, but color appointments require dedicated time and my books are filling up FAST. June is completely booked, and July is very quickly heading the same way. 😅

I have temporarily limited and cut off new clients for the next few months to help accommodate the incredible influx of support from all of you, and I am beyond grateful for it. 🥹🩷

But please don’t be left out! I would hate to have to refer one of my own girls somewhere else or you not love your hair for the summer simply because I don’t have an opening available (I am only ONE person) and sometimes have to take my super woman cape off to wash it lol.

At Hidden Gem Beauty Shop I choose to focus on the good. I choose to love my clients, support other small businesses, cheer on other women even in the same industry as me, work hard, stay grateful, and water the things I want to see bloom.

To every single person who has ever sat in my chair, shared a post, tagged a friend, left a review, recommended me, trusted me with your hair, skin, or simply spoken my name in a positive light I thank you. You have no idea how much it means to me.

Being booked to the point that i work 6-7 days a week or have to refer people out to other girls is something I never take for granted. It is such a blessing, and it is because of all of you.

I've learned that when you do right by others, stay true to yourself, and keep watering your own garden instead of worrying about someone else's beautiful things grow.

On May 14th, Chelsea’s husband, Gavin, had a life threatening asthma attack. He was intubated, sedated and paralyzed for 7 days in the ICU at Memorial. After quite a few ups and downs, he spent an additional 3 days in ICU Recovery. Chelsea has spent every day with him and was unable to work during this time. Gavin still has a long road to recovery with close follow ups to prevent this from happening again. Gavin is a loving husband, father and friend. He would do anything for anyone, even a stranger.

Right now the cause is unknown, and the trigger has to be found. Gavin’s asthma has progressively gotten worse since his separation with the Navy. Gavin currently works in a warehouse with lots of potential for setting off his asthma so we are hoping to keep him home for the time being until we can maintain his asthma and get him stabilized. The doctors informed us this was an extreme case and each “attack” scars his lungs. At 25 years old we can’t have more of these.

We’ve been apart of so many of these events, this time we are asking that you come together for us. 🖤 thank you!

If you’re needing an appointment, please go ahead and pre-book to secure your spot if there is anything left. I know it can be frustrating if you can’t get in, but it’s just me over here slinging out good hair and vibes 😂🫶I am taking some days off this summer so that plays into it as well.

I’ve officially closed off new clients for June, July, and some of August, so what’s on the books is about 90% my loyal babes 🤍that also means there isn’t much wiggle room but yall know I try my best and people usually move around some and make room.
