i haven’t been posting much because i’ve been doing the work.

not the glamorous kind.

the kind where you question yourself.
the kind where life asks you to let go of who you thought you were so you can become who you’re meant to be.
the kind where you outgrow old versions of yourself.
the kind where you realize healing isn’t a destination.

it’s a remembering.

a returning.

a coming home to the parts of yourself that got buried beneath expectations, survival, heartbreak, and the weight of trying to hold everything together.

the truth is, some seasons don’t break you.

they reveal you.
they strip away the masks, the noise, and the need to constantly prove your worth.

and what’s left is the quiet work of learning to trust yourself again.

one thing i've learned:

most people don’t need perfection.

they need permission.

permission to start over.
permission to rest.
permission to release what no longer fits.
permission to become without apologizing for it.

that’s become the heart of everything i do.

not because i have it all figured out.

but because i've spent time on the floor wondering if i was strong enough to keep going.

and i've learned that sometimes strength isn’t found in pushing harder.

sometimes it’s found in the moment you stand back up, look yourself in the mirror, and stop abandoning yourself.

i've stopped asking when this season will be over.
I’ve stopped asking when i'll finally feel “there.”
i've stopped looking for a quick fix, something outside of myself

because every time i think i’ve reached the next version of myself, life opens another door.

another lesson.
another invitation.
another chance to grow into the woman i'm becoming.

and for the first time, i don’t need to know where it leads.

i just need to trust the path beneath my feet.

i've been a little quiet lately.

truthfully, i’ve been doing a lot of growing behind the scenes.

lately, i've been spending a lot of time reflecting on the meaning of Tonalli.

in Nahuatl tradition, Tonalli is often described as the life force, the warmth of the sun, the energy that gives us purpose and helps us grow.

as i continue stepping deeper into my curanderismo journey, i've realized something beautiful:

my daughters are my Tonalli. 🥲

they are the reason i learned how to keep going when life felt heavy.
they are the reason i learned that healing isn’t always graceful.
they are the reason i understand what it means to love beyond yourself.

everything i’ve built.. from the treatment room, to the podcast, to the vision i'm still growing into... has been rooted in creating a life that honors the light they brought into mine. 🔅

behind every facial, every lash set, every conversation, and every dream for this business is a woman learning to follow her own path of healing while raising two little souls who remind her daily why it matters.

my business has never been just about beauty.

it's always been about helping people reconnect with their light.

these two are mine. ☀️💛

10 years ago i was working at a bank.

one day a woman came in yelling that “mexicans were stealing her money.”

then she walked straight up to me…
looked at me… and said I took it.

because I “looked like one of them.”

I remember just standing there.
trying to stay calm.
waiting for someone to say something.

no one did.

my manager didn’t step in.
didn’t ask her to leave.

just let it happen.

I finished my shift…
went home…
and I quit the next day.

no plan. nothing lined up.

I just knew I wasn’t staying somewhere that would let that happen to me.

that was it.

everything I’ve built since came after that.

I think about that version of me a lot.

she didn’t have it all figured out…
but she knew she deserved better.

and she was right. 🤍

this is where you come when your body’s been tense all week and you didn’t even realize it.
you lay down and everything just… drops.

your shoulders. your face. your thoughts.
your brain finally shuts up for a minute. 🧘‍♀️

some of you knock out cold like in a deep sleep, snoring and all… and i’m not judging you either 😂
others of you end up telling me your whole life story halfway through like it turned into a therapy session.

either way… you’re letting something go. 🌿

you can talk the whole time or not say a word.
either way, you’re getting taken care of.

you’ll leave looking good, obviously.
but the way your body feels when you walk out? that’s the part.
