I think it’s so important for us to love ourselves. To feel confident in our bodies. To be mentally & physically healthy.& To stop listening to the noise around us.

There’s a saying: You can be the ripest, juiciest peach on the tree, & someone will still say they don’t like peaches.

The most important thing you can do to be a better human is to take care of yourself. Whatever that looks like for you..do it.

We struggle because we spend too much time listening to negative people. If you gain weight “Wow, she looks bigger.” If you lose weight “She’s way too skinny.” If your house is older, they’ll ask when you’re getting a new one. If you buy a new house, they’ll judge where it’s located. If you go on vacation “ She is probably in debt. If you don’t go on vacation, “ She has no money”. If you’re single “Why is she still single?” If you’re in a relationship “I wonder if they’re really happy.” If you work a lot “She can’t afford to be a stay at home mom. If you stay home more: “She can’t afford anything.” If you wear makeup “She wears too much makeup.” If you don’t wear makeup: “She looks tired.” If you dress up “She’s trying too hard. If you dress casual “She let herself go.” If you’re quiet “She’s stuck up.” If you’re outgoing “She wants attention.” If you post on social media “She’s always showing off.” If you don’t post “I wonder what’s wrong.”
If you’re successful: “She got lucky.” If you’re struggling “She should have made better choices.”

& to be honest who the f*** cares?

There will always be miserable people talking. No one knows your finances, your goals, your struggles, your mental health, your physical health, or what brings you happiness. So take the pictures. Do the photoshoot. Get the Botox. Take the antidepressants. Wear the outfit. Take the trip. Celebrate yourself. Work on being healed, healthy, & happy.

If you’re too much, they’ll talk. If you’re not enough, they’ll talk. So you might as well be exactly who you are & let them talk anyway.. Don’t shrink yourself for someone else’s comfort.

This month I turn 40… in 2 weeks to be exact.

I am so excited to celebrate a new decade. I’m so proud of the woman I’ve become, & I feel really content going into my 40s. My life isn’t perfect, but I’ve worked really hard to get where I’m at.

I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years bring. It’s only up from here. 🖤
