Microblading Lounge
It is my number one goal to help my clients enhance their natural beauty!
When I asked Cassie to help me film this, I thought it would be funny.
I wasn’t expecting to get called out quite this hard. 😂
The truth is, building a business as a woman often means carrying things people never see.
The late-night calendar checks.
The work that follows you home.
The tears you wipe away before anyone notices.
The constant balancing act between your dreams and the people you love most.
But through her eyes, I was reminded of something else.
Our kids are watching.
Not just the hard parts.
They’re watching what it looks like to build something.
To keep going when things get tough.
To show up even when you don’t feel ready.
To chase a dream anyway.
And maybe that’s one of the greatest gifts we can give them.
If you’re a woman building a business while juggling a hundred things nobody sees, this is your reminder:
You’re doing better than you think. 🤍
Tag a woman business owner who needs to hear that today.

Day 2: I’m going to say the thing nobody in this industry wants to say out loud.
A weekend PMU certification is not training.
It’s a transaction.
You pay. You sit through two days maybe 5 if you’re lucky. You get a kit and a certificate. And then Monday morning you’re alone with a real client, real skin, and zero support from the person who just took your money.
I’ve seen it happen over and over. Women who were “certified” but completely unprepared. Not because they weren’t capable but because what they were sold as training was really just a starting point with no follow-through.
Real training doesn’t end when the weekend does.
Real training means someone answers when you have a question at 10pm before your first booking.
Real training means honest feedback on your actual work not just encouragement to keep paying for more classes.
Real training means you walk away confident, not just certified.
Six years in this industry full time and this is still the thing that bothers me most.
Where do you land? Have you experienced this? or do you think I’m wrong? Tell me in the comments. 👇
Day 1. I joined a 40-day challenge to show up on camera every single day and I’m telling you publicly so I can’t back out.
I’m Tanisha or T. Six years in permanent makeup full time. Studio owner. Educator. Wife and mom. Someone who built a business during a pandemic with zero Plan B because Plan A has to work.
For six years I’ve been hiding behind before and afters. No face to camera. No real strategy. Just hoping the work would speak for itself.
It does. But people also need to know the person behind it.
So here I am. Day 1 of 40. Uncomfortable and doing it anyway.
If that’s your kind of content and you want to watch me grow- follow along. 🤎 We are just gonna kick it over here on my corner of the internet!

Alejandra was great! She answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. Highly recommend and I will be back for sure! Thank you Alejandra!
The transformation isn’t just the color.
It’s the confidence.
The little smile.
The double-take in the mirror.
Every lip blush treatment is customized because no two clients are the same. From color selection to the final reveal, the goal is never to make you look like someone else.
Just a softer, fresher, you. 🤎
And moments like this are exactly why I love what I do.

I loved my experience with Alejandra! I explained to her exactly what I liked and what I didn’t and she got it right! I was delighted with my results! I got the laminated/tint brows. Time for a touch up, maybe microblading next 😏
People see the studio, the team, the trainings, the content, motherhood, marriage… and they ask me how I balance it all.
Truthfully?
Some days I do beautifully.
Some days it’s chaos, grace, and doing my best to hold it all together.
My husband and I have been together 13 years. Married for 10. We’ve built a life, a family, a business, and a million invisible moments people never see.
And what marriage taught me is this:
Long-term commitment isn’t about always feeling motivated.
It’s about continuing to show up even on the hard days.
Trust is built slowly.
In the little things.
The repeated things.
The consistent things.
I bring that same mindset into my business.
Into my clients.
Into my students.
You communicate clearly.
You stay when things feel uncomfortable.
You keep believing in what you’re building before the results fully arrive.
That’s marriage.
That’s business.
And that’s the kind of leadership I hope people feel when they enter my world.

PMU is not a beauty treatment. It’s a tattoo. 🖊️
And that means it demands real skill, real training, and real respect for the craft.
Not a weekend course and a hope for the best.
Six years in business, I’m still learning. Still studying skin, color, healing patterns. Because that’s what this work requires.
When you stop chasing shortcuts and start building the foundation, that’s when everything changes.
That’s when your work speaks for you.
Whether you’re just starting or trying to figure out why your work isn’t where you want it to be, this is your sign to go deeper.
The Lounge Academy was built for exactly that. 🔗 Link in bio.
