My guest Marisol came in for a consultation wanting to be a light, lived-in blonde. However, after a test strand to see how the hair would react, we quickly realized that it wasn’t impossible, but if we wanted to keep the hair’s health intact we needed to go another route— giving her a transformative color without damaging her beautiful coarse hair. The test strand ended very stretchy, rough, and breaking off after dry— so blonde was definitely not the safest choice this time around, but by now using the right products and K18 treatment to restore her hair’s health, we’ll see what we can work in the future! 👀
