Former NFL star and Pro Bowl running back Eddie Lacy
🚨 From Food Noise To Taking Back Control 🚨
Former NFL star and Pro Bowl running back Eddie Lacy is opening up about something millions of people silently struggle with every day… cravings, overeating, and feeling out of control around food.
Your body is not broken.
Sometimes the real issue is metabolic health — not willpower.
After completing a 4-day fast, Eddie shared that he started a simple protocol to help continue his momentum… and within just weeks he noticed:
✔️ Less snacking
✔️ Better control over cravings
✔️ Easier time avoiding overeating
✔️ More consistency with his habits
Honestly… this is exactly why I’m so passionate about teaching metabolic health and insulin resistance education.
Most people are told they simply need “more discipline.” But when insulin is dysregulated, the body can drive:
👉 constant hunger
👉 food noise
👉 cravings
👉 overeating
👉 low energy
👉 stubborn weight gain
This is why so many people feel trapped in a cycle they can’t seem to break.
When you begin supporting metabolic health properly, your body often starts working WITH you instead of against you.
That’s why I love the Feel Great Protocol — because it focuses on:
✔️ blood sugar support
✔️ fiber-focused nutrition
✔️ appetite regulation
✔️ fasting support
✔️ lifestyle coaching and education
What I also respect is Eddie’s honesty about wanting accountability and wanting to help others who are struggling with their health too ❤️
So many people are silently fighting this battle.
The good news? It’s never too late to start rebuilding your health one step at a time.

STARVE THE FIRE 👊
For years, diabetes care has focused on protecting your heart…
but we’ve been missing something huge.
👉 It’s quietly affecting your brain.
New research is finally catching up to what many of us have been saying:
Type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance don’t just impact blood sugar,
they can increase your risk of cognitive decline and dementia.
Here’s the simple version:
• Your brain needs fuel (glucose) to work
• Insulin resistance blocks that fuel from getting in
• At the same time, waste builds up in the brain
• And inflammation creates a slow “fire” that damages brain cells
Over time… that’s a problem.
💥 And here’s the truth most people aren’t told:
Managing symptoms isn’t the same as fixing the root cause.
If you want to protect your brain, you have to address insulin resistance.
That means:
✔️ Cut back on sugar and ultra-processed foods
✔️ Support your body with better fuel (like fat/ketones)
✔️ Use tools like fasting, movement, and strength training
✔️ Focus on metabolic health, not just weight loss
This isn’t just about your A1C.
This is about your memory, clarity, and long-term quality of life.
👉 You’re not just protecting your heart…
you’re protecting your mind.

This image might be the best metaphor I’ve ever seen for it.
Look closely.
At first glance it’s just bread…
But inside… mold has spread through the entire loaf.
The important thing about mold is this:
It doesn’t appear overnight.
It grows slowly.
Quietly
Often invisibly at first.
By the time we notice it, the damage has already spread.
And in many ways, this is exactly what ultra-processed food is doing inside the human body.
For the past 40+ years our food system has shifted toward highly processed products designed for:
• long shelf life
• hyper-palatable taste
• addictive consumption
• maximum profit
But they were never designed for human metabolic health.
Over time these foods drive insulin resistance, a metabolic condition now affecting an estimated 88% of adults.
And insulin resistance sits at the root of many chronic conditions we see today:
• weight gain
• fatigue
• inflammation
• type 2 diabetes
• heart disease
• fatty liver disease
• cognitive decline
The damage builds slowly… just like the mold spreading through that loaf.
The problem is we've normalized feeling unwell.
Feeling tired after meals.
Constant hunger.
Brain fog.
Energy crashes.
These are not normal.
They are metabolic signals.
The good news?
The human body is incredibly resilient.
When we remove the constant metabolic stress of ultra-processed foods and support the body properly, something remarkable happens:
Energy returns.
Blood sugar stabilizes.
Inflammation decreases.
Fat loss becomes easier.
Not because of dieting…
But because the body is finally allowed to function the way it was designed to.
Your body isn’t broken.
It has simply been living in an environment it was never designed for.

If you have joint pain, here’s more reason to lay off the candy: Eating lots of sweets has been shown to worsen joint pain because of the inflammation they cause in the body. Plus, studies show that people who eat or drink a lot of sugar may be more likely to develop rheumatoid arthritis.
One in ten Americans gets a quarter or more of their daily calories from added sugar.
