Update:::

Looks like it will be at least the first week of October before I get to come back to work. I can’t shake the amount of infection in my abdomen. They have started me on another round of antibiotics and I have to repack the wound 2x a day now. I truly hope this is the last of this craziness and it will finally go away and heal together properly.
Thank you to everyone for the gifts, gift cards , text and calls checking on me. Your thoughtfulness is much appreciated!! To Baker & Chad Sink for mowing my lawn for me when you did and to Briar and Easton Sink for making sure my trash can gets emptied each week. Don’t know what I would have done without you guys!! I’ve felt totally defeated but you all have kept me going forward and from being terribly depressed by being so kind and helpful. I will send out a text when I can start taking appointments again. I hope to see everyone soon!!

UPDATE::::🤓

Hi everyone! First, thank you again for all the text , prayers and thoughts. They are so appreciated. I’m very grateful for each one of you.
The wound is healing and things are on schedule. Everything is looking good! Hoping for middle to end of September. This being said, please know that when I’m able to come back I will still be limited to the amount of services I can do in a day. My stamina will not be at top form because this was a MAJOR SURGERY AND RECOUPARATION! I will try my best to tend to everyone but please have patience with me. I will send text messages out when I’m released to go back to work and it is THEN that I will start taking appointments again. Thank you to everyone again for the love and kindness shown to me.

Ps. Thank you also to my fellow hairstylist that took on my clients for me while I was out. You are not only good friends but a benefit to this profession helping out a fellow stylist when needed. 😁✂️

UPDATE:::::

I’m getting stronger a little at a time. I still have a 5 inch deep hole in my belly. They (wound care) is trying to find someone to take me on to clean and re-stuff me. So far we are on the 5th company.
Buckee and I just moved back home together and it will be a few more weeks before I can go back to work depending on the wound closure. The Doctors ( all of them) keep telling me it was a very major surgery and to make sure I don’t over do it at home or trying to get back to work. Thank you to everyone for calling , texting and asking about me!! I have some wonderful caring friends. 🩷

Attention Clients::: UPDATE!

I was taken back to the hospital on Saturday after being released , due to an infection in the incision. After some more little minor surgery to open and clean the incision, I’m back home. . Well, not home, but at Bestie Lillian’s house with Buckee. We have invaded her house and she is taking good care of both of us now. Angels do exist!
I want to thank everyone for the prayers and thoughts, texts and gifts. Please know they are all appreciated and have brought joy to my heart. Please be patient if you text, it is hard for me to get to everyone due to how feel right now, but they do not go unnoticed!! Veronica🩷

Update Aug 2,;;

Had surgery. Removed obstruction as large as a fist. Surgeon said I earned every bit of pain I was in! And would not have passed it , I would have died had I not gotten help when I did. Thank you Bestie, Lillian for helping to save my life. Nurses amazed at size and in awe of my tolerance for pain. I will be in hospital till at least Tuesday/ Wednesday as I am very slow to move and still in pain! And on pain meds regularly. Then recovery will be about 4 weeks depending on how I do getting around. No lifting over a milk gallon. And definitely starting to take care of me. Thank you for the prayers and concern. It has been a “”hell of a ride”” Veronica.🩷✂️

Update::: 7/31/26

My gallbladder has created a fister( bridge) into my small intestine and dropped a stone into it.this only happens in 1% of the population. I’m the first one my surgeon has ever seen in real life.I am a very sick girl and please note that I cannot answer everyone’s text. I appreciate the love & prayers so much but just too sick to keep texting. My surgeon is bring in reinforcements from Fredericksburg today for surgery. Also know Buckee is with my Bestie Lillian and is doing good so far, being away from me. Has Charlie to play with a big backyard and I’m sure Lillian is spoiling him to death I’ll update as I can and thank you again for the prayers and love. Veronica😁❤️
