Please say prayers for everyone in Texas tonight. It is so devastating to me, what these people are going through. My husband and I wish we could be there to help.
Yesterday marked 4 months since Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina so Melissa, Breanna, and myself took a drive to Swannanoa, NC. We took all back roads as we drove through the mountains and valleys along route 70 until we hit the Town of Old Fort where we had to take a detour because the washed out bridge still hasn’t been fixed. Onto I 40 and back on 70 to make it into the Town of Old Fort where I saw a parked police officer and I pulled along side to ask a question and hoping for some direction. You see as many of you know, we were fixing up our camper in order to donate to a family in need in Jefferson, NC. Some of you even donated to that cause to help with repair expenses and some even came over to help with repairs. We were hoping to donate it to the family by Christmas, but I found out 1 week before delivery that it was a total scam. That really set me back and totally disappointed me enough to the point that I didn’t even want to finish the camper. Well a week ago, I got back on it and we finished it yesterday. I explained that to the officer and asked if he knew anyone in need that we could donate to. He didn’t, but he said to continue driving down 70 to the town of Black Mountain and Swannanoa. He said look for Silverado’s along the way. I didn’t have a clue what to look for, but just when I thought it didn’t exist there it was. A music venue turned into a huge nonprofit for disaster relief and people were lined up in cars waiting for supplies. I met with one of the people in charge. There is a huge need for campers in this area. They have a waiting list. People are vetted and checked on to be sure that the need is real. Volunteers have come here from all over the country and this answered our prayers about where to donate this camper too. We continued on to Swannanoa, and Melissa filmed this video as I was driving and it just doesn’t even come close to showing how devastated this community really is. We are delivering our camper next Saturday morning. If anyone would like to donate supplies or would like to help transport supplies, we would definitely appreciate all of your help. Hope you had a wonderful and Merry Christmas! Thank you all for your kind and giving hearts with helping those in need that were affected by Hurricane Helene. Paul and I have been totally amazed by your generosity.

You all are absolutely amazing. 7ft x 16ft load of toys heading to Jefferson, NC tomorrow. I have 1 more truck load to add to this that I’m picking up from the salon tonight. You all have made this guys heart full! I know Melissa will be so happy to see this! What a very special Christmas!

Working on our old camper to donate to a family in need that lost their home to the flooding. Melissa Cauley - Reflections Hair Salon clients, family, and friends have donated money and items towards repairs and buying supplies to restock everything. Still have a ways to go, but it is coming along. I started with the front living room that was damaged - Paul
The main hub we were delivering the toys to is completely closed today so we will be delivering toys tentatively next Wednesday

Good morning, just a reminder that today is the last day to drop of toys at the salon. We are going to try and deliver these on Sunday. We have more toys at the house and are also meeting up with a church tomorrow morning who is also donating a bunch of toys also. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity
I am currently accepting unwrapped toys until this Friday evening for families in need in North Carolina. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far

Thank you all for your kindness and generosity! Paul will be delivering all of this today to West Jefferson, NC so that it may be distributed where needed. Next week through December 13th we will be doing the wrapped toy drive. You can drop off this Saturday at the Rocky Mount Farmer’s Market from 8am until 8pm or at Reflections Hair Salon on Brambleton Ave in Roanoke through Friday 12/13. Thank you all once again!
Good morning everyone and hope you all are doing well. I just wanted to let you guys know that Melissa, Breanna, and I are doing a toy drive for Rutherfordton, NC and will be delivering toys the week of December 16th. The place we are delivering to is a 9 acre animal rescue and petting zoo that had major flood damage. Every year the owner, Rosalie, has Santa come and give toys away to over 200 kids in the community. I am sure this year the needs will be overwhelming. If you would like to help, please wrap your toy and label it boy or girl and age recommendations. I will do the last toy collection at the salon on Friday December 13th. Santa will be handing the toys out on December 21st. Thank you all so much - Paul
