Shouting out the biggest appreciation and thank you to Bolinger Contracting, Ethan Tribolet and Brandon Bolinger on our project that had to be done in a 7 day time frame. I jumped the gun on posting our complete finished project but couldn't resist. We still have cabinet doors to be installed and new station cabinets to be delivered but they made it happen in our time frame. The amount of work, hours and time away from families during the holidays shows the compassion for what they do! Hardest working people we've ever seen! Thank you for making our salon beautiful!

Christmas in the village holiday parade!!!

The LaFontaine Arts Council (LAC) will be selling a limited set of greeting cards this holiday season featuring art from first and second grade students to raise funds to support Arts in Education and the Community. These sets will be available in select retail locations starting November 6, 2023.

The LAC, in partnership with the Mayor of Huntington’s Holiday Card contest, invited all Huntington County elementary 1st and 2nd grade students to submit holiday drawings this year. The LAC has chosen one winner from each grade from seven elementary schools to curate these 14-card sets, called “Hometown Huntington Greeting Cards.” These sets include envelopes and feature a message on the back of each card with the artist’s first name, grade, and school. Participating schools include Roanoke Elementary School, Horace Mann Elementary School, Andrews Elementary School, Flint Springs Elementary, Huntington Catholic School, Lincoln Elementary School, and Salamonie Elementary School. The greeting cards will be available for purchase at the following locations throughout the county for $25 per set:

D&D Trends Salon is excited to announce that Angie Chavez has joined our team!

Angie has over 25 years of experience as a licensed stylist and barber. Throughout her career Angie has completed several practicums and has attended many seminars to learn and stay up to date on the most cutting edge hair trends in the industry. Angie works with all types of hair and colors but specializes in fine hair textures and highlighting techniques. Men's haircuts have always been a popular service Angie offers along with permanent and semipermanent coloring, highlighting, balayage, formal event styling, haircuts of all ages, and many other treatments that keep her clients hair healthy, shiny, and a reflection of their personal style. I am beyond excited to announce that as of January 1st 2023 my Mom ( Debra Roudebush Selig) and I will be taking ownership of Trends Hair Studio in Roanoke! I couldn't be more thankful for my best friend Heather Knecht for starting Trends journey 5 years ago and believing in me as a stylist. Heather started Trends with just me as an employee and a dream of what it could become. Trends is now a full salon of 7 amazing stylists and a nail technician and has won Readers Choice Best Salon for the past 3 years. We have come so far from 5 years ago when we first started. It would have not be possible without her vision and the confidence she had in me as a stylist. I am so thankful for Heathers trust in us that we will continue to grow this amazing salon that came from just a dream! Thank you to all of the girls that continue with Trends down this new road!
