A quick reminder as we head into the busy back-to-school season!

My schedule is packed, and I do have a waiting list. If you know you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please let me know ASAP! Please DO NOT wait until you receive your appointment reminder the day before. The more notice I have, the better chance I have to offer your appointment to someone who has been waiting.

Also, please plan to arrive on time for your appointment. Traffic, school zones, accidents, and construction can all cause unexpected delays this time of year, so I encourage you to allow a little extra travel time. Arriving on time helps me stay on schedule and ensures every client receives the full appointment they’ve reserved.

Lastly, a friendly reminder that my updated pricing went into effect on August 1.

Thank you so much for your understanding, your respect for my time, and for supporting my small business. I truly appreciate each and every one of you!

I am officially fully BOOKED for July with no wiggle room! If you need to reschedule your July appointment, please be aware that my next availability isn’t until AFTER August 12.

I’ll be taking a few days off throughout July for family events, including my mother-in-law’s wedding, helping Coley’s and Chloe’s move back to North Texas, and the July 4th holiday.

Thank you all for your continued support, flexibility, and loyalty. I’m incredibly grateful and truly blessed to have such a full schedule and the best clients!

Many of you know that Sully is not just a pet to me, he’s family. He’s been my constant companion, my shadow, and the one who always seems to know when I need a little extra comfort.

Over the past week, I noticed he wasn’t quite himself, and today we learned he has a urinary blockage. Thankfully, his bloodwork looked good, but he was admitted to the hospital and will be staying for the next 48 hours while they work to clear the blockage and flush his urinary tract.

It’s been an emotional and stressful day between caring for him, rearranging appointments, and trying to keep up with work. If you’ve messaged me and I haven’t responded yet, please know I’m not ignoring you. Today simply took an unexpected turn.
I would truly appreciate your prayers for Sully…for healing, comfort, and a full recovery. He’s a very special boy and has my whole heart.

Heads up, clients!

If you haven’t booked your back-to-school hair appointment yet, especially if I haven’t seen you in a while, now’s the time! My schedule is already filling up, and I only have limited availability at the end of July and beginning of August before school starts.

Snag your spot ASAP!

Today marks the anniversary of my graduation from the Toni & Guy Academy. It’s been 13 years since I completed my 1,500 hours. Graduating at age 43, while walking through one of the hardest seasons of my life, meant more to me than I can put into words.

If I haven’t said it enough, thank you. I am so truly blessed by each of you and by the many ways you’ve supported me over the last 13 years.

While my business is certainly my livelihood, I know in my heart that it is also a gift from God. He opened this door at a time when I needed it most, and over the years He has used it for so much more than hair. My chair has become a place for friendship, encouragement, laughter, tears, prayer, and connection. I truly believe the Lord entrusted me with this business not only to serve others through my work, but to love people well and hopefully leave them feeling seen, valued, and encouraged when they walk out the door.

Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your lives. Being your hairstylist has been one of the greatest blessings of mine.

Here’s to 13 years…and to whatever God has planned next!

Hello Beauties! Here about a few things!

🟣I want you all to know that even though I do have a cosmetology education and I continue my education regularly to keep up my skills and learn the most current trends, that I truly believe I was called to this career because of my love for people. This is a people business before it’s a hair business. I know that seems very odd to say, but it is true and I cannot express in words how much I am so grateful for each and everyone of you! Each of you have done something to contribute to my life, even if in the smallest way. I sure hope that I have been able to give something meaningful to you as well.

🟢To continue providing the quality service, products, education, and salon experience that you deserve, I will be making some pricing adjustments beginning AUGUST 1st:
Highlight services will see an increase, with pricing varying ($10-15) based on the service(s) provided. There will be a $5 increase on full-service, route retouch services. In regard to cuts there will be a slight increase on adult cut services and a slight increase on kids cuts, ages 11 and under and ages 12-18.

I WILL HAVE THE NEW PRICES POSTED IN MY SALON

While I do not have the same overhead as some of my friends and colleagues, I still must purchase products and supplies and provide other things to make it comfortable while you’re at my salon. The cost of supplies and products have gone up exponentially over the last few years. [i’ve included a photo in this post of a recent price increased at one of the places I purchase products]. Therefore, unfortunately forces me raise my prices. I pray you all have some understanding in this situation that everyone is going through right now.

Here are some things that might help you understand and answer questions you may have:
1️⃣ It is hard for me to raise prices because I have a fear of you think I’m putting it all in my pocket.
2️⃣ However, there are things that I have to do to raise my prices (that don’t give me a raise):
~ my utilities go up
~ the cost of my supplies and products needed to do your service goes up
~my insurance goes up
~taxes
3️⃣ I spend money on education to stay current and give you the service you love.
4️⃣ The only way for me to stay in business for the long haul is to raise my prices to cover cost. I share this with you as a courtesy, unlike the gas station, the grocery store or your utility bill that often does not give you notice of prices going up.
🟠I hope you all are staying cool in this Texas heat!
🔵I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment! Thank you again for your business and friendship! Be Blessed! 💗Hollie
