Today I’m serving Sweet Like Candy 🍭 with this minty pastel moment. Loosely inspired by the Powerpuff Girls, believe it or not! You know, sugar and spice and everything nice 😜. As always, a full list of everything used will be provided below. On a more serious note, I’ve been struggling hard the last few months. I’ve gained so much weight due to hormonal issues caused by early onset perimenopause. It’s feeling like the hardest thing I’ve faced in my life so far. I’m all over the place and on an emotional roller coaster, and my insecurities are running rampant! I’m trying to keep busy and continue doing the things that bring me joy, my makeup paramount among them. The more round my face becomes, the more contour I apply lol. Some days you wake up and all you want is to live your retro Barbie fantasy… today is that day mahmas!! lol I was obsessed with this look. It’s a smoky pink & purple moment and that shocking blue liner just adds so much bang. I realize I may suffer from a bit of “blush blindness” but I cannot bring myself to care because it’s so pretty 🤩. Also, the 70’s were all about bold blushy looks anyway. Today’s look is all about barely there color and sheer shimmering goodness. This palette from Juvias Place is totally slept on. It’s got some of the creamiest matte pastels and a bunch of really beautiful duochromatic glittery toppers. It’s truly an effortless palette to use because everything looks good on the eyes and no matter what you pick, it all ends up beautiful. Do you have this palette in your collection? Green is an unfairly underrated color! It’s never been my favorite color- coral, orange, and pink take that title- but when it comes to eyeshadow, there are few colors that make as much of an impact as green. It’s just visually yummy. I think blue can be the same way, but green is easier to wear. Sometimes blue can look a bit “clownish” but green never fails me! It’s bold and glamorous and fun and I think looks good on everyone, depending on the saturation and undertone.
