π What does YOUR skin need? This is where we start. π
This little Beauty Profile helps me get to know your skin β what you're currently using, what concerns you have, and what you'd love to improve. Because skincare definitely isn't one-size-fits-all!
Whether we meet virtually, one-on-one in person, at your place, at mine, or at an upcoming beauty event, this helps me choose what makes the most sense for you. π
And don't worry β you don't have to know your βskin typeβ before we start. That's part of what we'll figure out together.
β¨ So tell me: if you could change ONE thing about your skin right now, what would it be?

β¨ Skincare isnβt one-size-fits-all.
Our skin changes through different seasons of life β and our skincare can change right along with it. π
Whether you're just getting started, dealing with breakouts, beginning to notice changes, or ready for more advanced age-fighting care, there's a routine designed to meet your skin where it is.
September is Skincare Awareness Month, so all month I'm sharing a little more about taking care of the skin you're in. π

Are you going to town looking like THAT?β π
If you knew my Memaw Mary, you can probably hear her saying it.
Memaw Mary was one of those women who was ALWAYS put together. Hair fixed. Makeup on. Jewelry coordinated. High heels. And if you were leaving the house, well⦠you ought to look presentable!
When I was younger, I'd stop by while I was mowing to see if she needed anything from town. I'd be sweaty, wearing my Saturday yard-work clothes, and inevitably she'd look me up and down:
βYou're going to town like that?β
I'd tell her, βYes, Memaw! I need gas so I can finish mowing!β π
It became our little joke.
But underneath all that teasing, she taught me something I've carried with me my entire life.
Take care of yourself.
My definition of that has changed as I've gotten older. I certainly don't think I need a full face of makeup and high heels to run to town anymore! And there are plenty of days I'm perfectly happy without a stitch of makeup.
But skincare? That's become different for me.
I've learned that taking those few minutes to care for my skin isn't about covering myself up. It's about caring for what I already have. And I'm actually seeing the difference β smoother skin, fewer breakouts, a more even complexion and those little lines looking a little softer.
But maybe the sweetest part of this story came much later.
During the last years of Memaw Mary's life, when she was in the nursing home, I went almost every morning for about two years.
And guess what we did?
We got Memaw Mary ready. β€οΈ
Her wig.
Her makeup.
A coordinated outfit.
And, of course, her jewelry.
And if you knew Memaw Mary, you know none of those things were optional. π Even in the nursing home, that woman was going to have her hair, her face, her jewelry and her outfit put together.
Looking back, I realize those mornings weren't really about makeup. They were about helping her continue to feel like herself.
The woman who had spent so many years teaching the women in our family to put ourselves together eventually let me help put her together. I didn't realize at the time just how precious those mornings would become.
So when Mary Kay's new Beauty Is More Beautifuly Sharedβ’ campaign asked us to celebrate someone who helped shape our beauty journey, I didn't have to think very hard.
Mine started long before I ever became a beauty consultant.
It started with Memaw Mary. π
Now I want to hear yours.
Who is one woman who taught you something about beauty, confidence, taking care of yourself, or simply being a woman?
Tell me about her below β and if she's still here, tag her so she knows. β€οΈ

Okay ladies, you said you wanted some new recipesβ¦ so this one's for YOU! π
One of my favorite things to do is take something that sounds a little fancy and figure out how to make it at home with simple ingredients.
Tonight's creation: Bacon, Gorgonzola & Spinach Quiche. π₯π₯¬π§
I try to use organic and cleaner ingredients where I can, cook more from scratch, and rely less on heavily processed boxed foods. Am I perfect about it? Absolutely not. π But I've found that small swaps and cooking at home make a difference β and food still needs to taste GOOD!
This one has crispy bacon, Gorgonzola, fresh spinach and a creamy egg filling, all baked together in a crust. And judging by how my kitchen smelled while this was cookingβ¦ this recipe may be staying in the rotation. π
I've been thinking a lot lately about beauty from the inside out β skincare is part of taking care of ourselves, but so are the foods we eat, hydration, movement and all those little everyday choices.
So I'm thinking we may need to start sharing a little more of what's happening in Tabby's kitchen along with all the skincare and beauty around here. π
Who wants the actual recipe?
Comment QUICHE below and I'll put the full recipe in the comments so everybody can save it. π
And tell me β are you Team Gorgonzola π or βkeep that stinky cheese away from meβ π?

π My first step toward RED! β€οΈ
Wellβ¦ I took another little step. π₯Ήβ€οΈ
I officially earned my Senior Independent Beauty Consultant title β my first step on the road toward that Mary Kay Red Jacket!
And while my name may be on this beautiful graphic, there are SO many people behind it.
π To every customer who has trusted me with your skin, purchased a product, shared my posts or supported my little business β thank you.
π To every woman who has sat at my table, attended an event, joined me virtually, tried something new or simply gave me the opportunity to practice and learn β thank you.
π And especially to my Mary Kay leadership and the women who continue to teach me, encourage me, answer my questions and sometimes give me that little push when I need it β thank you.
I'm learning that building something isn't one giant leap. It's a whole lot of little steps, some courage, plenty of learning, and people willing to walk alongside you.
I'm still learning. I'm still growing. And I'm definitely still dreaming. π
This is one step closer to RED. β€οΈ
Thank you for being part of the journey. Next stopβ¦ that Red Jacket. πβ€οΈ
