Ecology Room
We are a holistic skin studio & boutique located in the Park Ave neighborhood of Rochester, NY.
Some skincare trends go viral for a reason… and some just go viral ...
Here’s my take as a holistic esthetician:
• Slugging 👉 helpful for barrier support (but not for everyone)
• Beef tallow 👉 leave it for the kitchen
• Lemon for dark spots 👉 too harsh, can damage skin
• Sand scrubbing at the beach 👉 please don’t do this
The problem isn’t trying trends , it’s not understanding your skin.
What works for one person can completely disrupt another.
Healthy skin isn’t built on hacks.
It’s built on barrier support, balance, and consistency.
Want to understand what your skin actually needs?
That’s exactly what we do inside The Ecology Skin Code
This is a sign that your skin is responding to something deeper.
Most people try to fix skin from the surface ,
but real change happens when you understand the root cause.
Acne 👉 often linked to blood sugar + hormones
Eczema 👉 often tied to gut integrity
Rosacea 👉 driven by inflammation
Chronic sensitivity 👉 connected to the nervous system
Different skin = different approach.
When you stop guessing and start supporting your body properly,
your skin starts to feel calmer, clearer, and more stable.
Inside The Ecology Skin Code, we focus on exactly that ,
helping you understand why your skin is reacting and what to do about it.

The Ecology Skin Code was created to help you understand the signals you’re skin is giving,
instead of constantly reacting to symptoms.
Inside the program, we focus on the systems that shape skin health:
🌿 gut + digestion
🌿 blood sugar + inflammation
🌿 hormones + detox pathways
🌿 nervous system regulation
Because when these are supported,
your skin becomes more stable, less reactive, and easier to manage.
This isn’t about restriction or chasing quick fixes.
It’s about building a foundation your skin can actually rely on.
If your skin has been feeling unpredictable or exhausting to navigate, this is where things start to make sense.

If you’ve tried everything and your skin still feels unpredictable, it’s not because you lack discipline.
It’s because skin doesn’t heal in isolation.
Acne, eczema, rosacea, chronic sensitivity.
These are rarely random, and rarely just “skin problems.
They’re expressions of what’s happening internally:
• Blood sugar instability
• Gut imbalances
• Hormonal shifts
• Chronic stress
• Overloaded detox pathways
When we only treat the surface, we silence the signal.
When we understand the system, we create change.
Ecology Skin Code was designed to help you step out of the trial-and-error cycle and into structure.
If you’re ready for calm, resilient, supported skin, the link to learn more is in my bio.
Comment “CODE” and I’ll send it to you directly.
I created Ecology Skin Code because surface fixes weren’t enough.
I kept seeing women try everything: products, diets, treatments, and still feel frustrated.
Not because they weren’t trying.
But because no one explained how the system works.
When digestion, hormones, blood sugar, stress, and detox pathways. are overwhelmed, the skin becomes the messenger.
Ecology Skin Code was designed to give you structure, and a way to work with your body instead of fighting it.
If this resonates, the link is in my bio.
Your body is always trying to protect you.
I don’t believe in forcing the body to do things it clearly has a reason for doing or not doing.
Most wellness and beauty protocols are about forcing pathways: forcing detoxification, forcing epithelial cell turnover, forcing a reduction in inflammation.
But do we ever stop and ask ourselves why it’s doing this in the first place?
Shutting down inflammation without investigating what’s causing it is like turning off the smoke detector without looking for the source of the fire.
Most practitioners are trained to look at one aspect of the body, and as an esthetician my training involved a myopic explanation of the epidermis. Getting to the root of why skin issues arise in the first place has been a humbling journey, and I still have more questions than I do answers. I’ve been slowly unpacking everything I’ve been told from the esthetics industry- some it makes sense, some of it doesn’t. Most of it is incomplete in the story it tells about the pathogenesis of skin conditions, the role of melanin, and what actually drives aging.
I look forward to continuing to share what I’m learning as I go along.
If you’re someone who questions popular narratives within the health and wellness space, welcome. I’m happy to have you here.
Your skin doesn’t heal when it’s being analyzed.
It heals when it feels safe.
That’s why my in-person facials are designed as nervous-system work, not lessons, not overthinking, not fixing. Just deep restoration.
Education belongs in its own container.
So your treatments can stay sacred.
If you’re wondering how to work with me, in person, online, or through my integrative skin program, send me a message and we’ll find the right starting point for you. ✨
Most skin programs focus on one piece of the puzzle.
Products.
Nutrition.
Supplements.
Hormones.
And while each of those matters, skin doesn’t heal in isolation.
Your skin is influenced by multiple systems working together, digestion, blood sugar, hormones, stress physiology, detox pathways, lifestyle rhythms, and topical care.
What makes Ecology Skin Code different is that it connects all of these pieces into one clear, structured framework.
Each module builds on the last, so instead of collecting random information, you learn how your entire internal ecosystem works together, and how to support it long-term.
This is how we move out of trial-and-error and into sustainable healing.

More skincare doesn’t mean better skin, especially when healing is the goal.
When skin struggles, the instinct is often to add more: more actives, more steps, more intensity. But over-treating the skin often creates the opposite effect.
Excess exfoliation, harsh actives, and constant product switching disrupt the skin barrier, the structure responsible for keeping moisture in and irritants out.
When the barrier is compromised, skin becomes dehydrated, inflamed, and reactive, and no amount of “corrective” products can override that.
Gentle, minimalist routines work better long-term because they give the skin space to repair and self-regulate.
This is the foundation of how we approach healing inside Ecology Skin Code, simplifying routines, restoring the barrier, and supporting the skin from the inside out.

When detox pathways are overwhelmed, the skin often becomes the backup organ.
Your body is designed to eliminate waste through multiple systems — the liver, gut, lymphatic system, and kidneys. When these pathways are supported, the skin stays calm and resilient.
But when stress, inflammation, poor digestion, or hormonal imbalance slow elimination, waste doesn’t exit efficiently.
So the body looks for another outlet, and that outlet is often the skin.
Breakouts, congestion, rashes, and inflammation aren’t failures of the skin.
They’re signals that internal elimination pathways need support.
This is why topical care alone often isn’t enough.
Healing happens when detox and elimination are supported at the system level.
That’s exactly what we address inside Ecology Skin Code, so the skin doesn’t have to compensate.
