The owner of Tresses is retiring BUT there will be new owners and the name will be changed to Emerge Salon and Novelty Shoppe.

You will still be able to make and keep your appointments at the same 1 Old Dover Road location — Kerri, Kaylee, Harmony and Jesse will be staying on with the new owners and all scheduled appointments will be honored at the same dates and times!

Gift card balances will also be honored by Emerge. The phone number(603-332-6700) will remain the same and you can continue using the existing online booking system until further notice.

A HEARTFELT MESSAGE FROM THE OWNER OF TRESSES:

To Our Loyal Clients,

I’m writing to share an important and very personal update with you.

After much thought, I have made the difficult decision to retire after 16 wonderful years of owning and operating Tresses Hair Salon. This has truly been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. Tresses has been such a special part of my life, and that is entirely because of all of you.

Your loyalty, support, and trust over the years have meant more to me than I can ever fully express. It has been an absolute privilege to be part of your lives — celebrating milestones, sharing conversations, and building relationships that go far beyond the salon chair. Being part of the Rochester community throughout all of these years has been equally meaningful, and something I will always carry with me.

At the same time, this next chapter is one I feel ready for. My granddaughters (ages 2½ and 11 months) live in Michigan, and I’m looking forward to spending more time with them and embracing this new season of life.

As I step away, I want to reassure you that the salon will continue forward with a team and leadership I feel very confident in. Kerri, Harmony, Jesse, and Kaylee will all be staying on, and I know they will continue to take wonderful care of you. All existing appointments will be honored exactly as scheduled, with the same dates, times, and stylists you are accustomed to.

As part of this next phase, while a lot of faces and the location will stay the same, the salon will be transitioning to Emerge Salon, led by Judith Ring and Delilah Smith. They have an established salon in Somersworth, NH (since 2021), and since our very first meeting, I felt strongly that their approach, values, and salon culture closely align with what we have built here at Tresses. That alignment was incredibly important to me. Knowing that both our team and our clients will continue to be in such good hands has made this transition much easier.

We are all working closely together to ensure that this transition is as smooth and seamless as possible for everyone, and my last day as an owner and stylist at Tresses Hair Salon & Spa will be Saturday, March 28th, 2026.

While this path is bittersweet for me, I am truly grateful for the years we’ve shared and the relationships that have been built along the way.
