Once again.... THERE IS NO SET DATE FOR PHASE 2 TO BEGIN....That means I have no idea when we can reopen. I know many of you have “heard” we can open the 29th. That is the 2 week point from when phase 1 started. Yes there are 2 weeks between phases reopening however, that is the MINIMUM amount of time given to assess the metrics for our region. They will base phase 2 start on those metrics.
Many people don’t realize that hairdressers have to have an Appearance Enhancement license issued from the State Board of Cosmetology. They are the ones who mandate all of our cleaning and sanitation rules as well as any specific requirements pertaining to hair salons. We have a standard that we have always followed. It is a very thorough cleaning and sanitation process. We still need to be given directives pertaining to opening amongst the Covid Pandemic on top of those standards. The state has not issued any of those directives to us yet. Your hairstylists are frustrated and waiting right along with you!
I have been following other states that have opened their beauty industry. Some have been given 2 days notice and said ok you can open if you take these steps. There are states that don’t allow blow drying services. There are states that don’t allow waxing services. As far as I know all states have issued regulations on how many clients and stylists will be allowed in the salon at once. Many require temp checks at the door. Many require a waiver to be signed before services.
We have been preparing our salon based on other states guidelines as to be able to open as soon as we are given permission. Hopefully NYS standards mirror these other states or are even less restrictive so we can go back to a “normal” salon experience.
All that being said, We have a list long of clients to reschedule and promise we will do our best to get to you as soon as we can.

Studio Valencia friends/family,
We hope you all are doing well, staying healthy and safe.
We miss you all and are just as anxious to get back to work as you are. This is our plan on the rebooking process to save on the magnitude of phone calls we will be getting.
We will not be booking anyone until there is an exact date on when we can open. As of right now 5/17/20 we are in phase 2 but there is no date yet.

The plan is ,
We will start to rebook with the first week that got affected and continue down the weeks.
Anyone that has not had an appointment will have to get scheduled after the people that have already had an existing appointment with us. If you have not had an existing appointment with us please call the salon and leave your name and number and we will schedule you in when we are ready.As soon as we hear on a date then we will start scheduling people in.

Even though we decided to stay closed this week ,due to the safety of our clients health as well as ours and our family. NYS is mandating a shut down on all salon, nail and barber shops by Saturday, March 21 at 8 PM.
Studio Valencia will remain closed until further notice. Thank you to all of our clients for all of their love and support to us.
If your roots are getting gray please remember to use your powder and sprays if needed☺️
Stay positive and keep up your humor , it is the best medicine.
