Mayo MN Dermatology Residency

We were thrilled to have Dr. Jing return to Charter House to share his expertise on “Healthy Skin Aging” ☀️🧴. His insights sparked great discussion and inspired charter house residents to incorporate protective strategies into their daily lives!

A special shout-out to Dr. Daniel Su, Mayo Clinic Dermatology Professor Emeritus, who joined us in the audience. His thoughtful perspectives always make our lecture series even richer.

Interests/Hobbies: Spending time with my wife and children, conversing with friends, singing/arranging acapella🗣️, playing soccer ⚽️(real football! 😎)

Fun facts: I have three kids who are my biggest joy and pride (Mutsawashe - girl 5, Tinotenda - boy 3, and Akanaka, boy 0.5). My oldest brother is my biggest hero. I once directed a vocal ensemble/choir that included the then Prime Minister of Zimbabwe.
I am because of my HUGE village.

Earlier this month, we had the amazing opportunity to practice hands-on techniques with injectable biostimulators 💉! This week, we followed it up with the chance to dive deeper into cosmetic dermatology during a fantastic journal club led by our very own .derm 📚✨

One of our favorite traditions is the yearly fitness challenge💪🏼 Congratulations to Team High-Poreformers (Drs. Handfield, Sartori, Link, Sitenga, Rames & Hilts) on their win this year! 🏆 Thank you to our Wellness Committee for promoting physician wellness and a little friendly competition 🏃

Just a glimpse into our annual residency picnic where we welcomed our amazing PGY2 dermatology residents! We continued the tradition of a cake decorated with photos of our PGY2 residents, each class coming up with fun poses, yard games and loads of laughing! Thanks to our Program Director, Dr. Wieland, for hosting!

Today marks the end of the academic year and a bittersweet farewell to our incredible SRAs. It’s been an absolute privilege to have you in our residency over the past three years. Your impact has been immeasurable, and your presence will be deeply missed. We can’t wait to see all that you achieve next — the future is bright! ✨
