Last year I started using the brand known as K18. I was fully invested in learning what I could about the product, its benefits, and what it does. The evolution in science, technology, and advancements in available products is fascinating.

There was ALOT going on here.
We knocked out a ton of banding and uneven tones all throughout her whole head. has gorgeous thick beautiful hair! I'm truly loving this natural blend. Her hair was brittle and dry from being over processed with too high of a developer. I explained what is and suggested we try it out to improve her hairs health and integrity.
We decided this would be a really good benefit for her to help with the issues she was currently having.
The hair gods were most definitely on my side 👏🏼

Side note, I was nervous as soon as I started drying her roots. When I tell you this lady haaates red tones, red undertones, etc. I mean it. There was a time where just about everything looked red to her. ( Yes, she drove me batty. IYKYK) it was just enough warmth that it wasn't too red for her. I think we might have found something that she likes for awhile 😬

➡️ What are some typical questions I ask clients during their consultation?

1. On a typical day, how do you choose to do your hair or style it?
2. What products are you using at home?
- Any products we're trying but not sure how to use?
Or
- is there a product you've considered using but haven't yet tried?

3. Do you have well water or extra mineral build ups in your water at home?
✨Having well water at home is a good thing for your stylist to know ahead of time. This helps me to know if I'll need to use different products or techniques for the best outcome from your appointment. Well Water can cause buildup in your hair which can later cause issues when lightening or coloring your hair and cause breakage.

4. For the lightening appointments there's further details to discuss such as how long ago your last appointment was when you had your hair lightened, if you're desired look is a seamless natural blend or if the ribbon effect is better suitable.

5. Last but not least, maintenance! This is an important factor to keep in mind. Not everyone has the same schedules or is able to come into the salon regularly. I try to advise my clients as best as I can with at home hair care and scheduling ahead of time to keep their hair at their best!
