To all my fellow estheticians: take a moment today to reflect on what keeps you excited about what you do. Take a moment to truly appreciate this incredibly rewarding and fulfilling industry for all its glory. Take time to recognize how this field has allowed you to grow, not only as a professional, but as a human being.

Reflect on the clients who have impacted you in deep and meaningful ways. The conversations that have stayed with you. The moments you’ve helped someone feel more confident, more comfortable in their own skin, or to feel more like themselves. The connections that remind you this work is about so much more than popping pimples and waxing bodies.

And while you’re at it, give yourself permission to acknowledge the hard parts, too. How difficult it can be to hold space for others. To keep showing up when you’re running on empty. To continually invest in your education, stay current in an ever-evolving industry, and pour so much of yourself into the work you do.

Then, allow yourself to ask and honestly answer the question: Why do I do what I do?

Not for the Instagram likes, the fully booked schedule, the next certification, or the validation of being considered successful. But for the moments that make all of it worth it. For the people you impact. For the confidence you help build. For the knowledge you get to share. For the privilege of doing work that makes a difference, even in ways you may never fully realize.

And if your answer has changed since the day you started, that’s okay, too. We’re allowed to grow, to redefine success, to find new passions, and to become different versions of the professionals we once imagined we’d be.

This industry has given so many of us the opportunity to build something meaningful, not just for our clients, but for ourselves. Never lose sight of that. Never stop being curious. Never stop learning- BE A SPONGE! And never forget the human being behind the hands-on work.

Happy National Esthetician Day to the people who make this industry what it is. I hope you’re proud of the esthetician you are today, and excited about the one you’re still becoming. 🤍

Exciting changes coming to PGS! Read the caption for the juicy deets 😌

After over 3 years of PGS and more than 1,000 appointments, I’ve really started to hone in on what works for myself and my clients, and what isn’t serving us anymore.

My service menu will be undergoing some changes to allow me to customize each treatment to the fullest. What does this mean? More time on my table, a more customized experience, and more predictable pricing.

I’ll officially be transitioning to an all-inclusive treatment menu in the coming weeks. You’ll schedule 45, 60, 75, or 90 minutes, and WHATEVER we decide will be best for your skin that day, within the timeframe we have, is what you’ll get. This may include Dermaplane, nano infusion, light peels, oxygen therapy, LED light therapy, high frequency, ultrasonic and more. One flat price. (Advanced peels, Microneedling, and Hydrafacial excluded)

No more Q&A in the middle of your treatment while you decide whether you want to spend additional money and time on your service. We’ll make those decisions together, and I’ll take care of the rest.

While it may seem like your cost is increasing, you’re getting SO much more value from your service. I’ve also significantly extended my gap time between clients to allow for more discussion and education before and after your visit.

I’ll also be implementing different pricing for new vs. returning clients on nearly all services. This allows me more time for questions and education with new guests, while rewarding my existing clients for their loyalty.

And speaking of things that aren’t serving us…

My current booking system has not always been the most reliable or user-friendly experience, so after lots of consideration (and LOTS of work behind the scenes), I’m officially transitioning to GlossGenius!

All of your data and existing appointments will transfer over… PHEW. 😮‍💨

There are a few more little changes coming with all of this, and I’ll share more details as we get closer to launch. I’m SO excited for this next chapter of PGS! 🥹✨

All 5 of yesterday’s participants did such an incredible job, and I couldn’t be more proud of the work they put in!

Teaching continuing education classes is truly one of my absolute favorite things to do. It’s the epitome of “if you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.” I feel so incredibly lucky to be able to share my knowledge, watch my students grow, and be even a small part of their journeys as they continue building their careers.

Yesterday was such a special day, and I’m already looking forward to the next one!
