Ever wondered what’s actually happening when vitiligo appears on the skin?
Our skin gets its pigment from cells called melanocytes. With vitiligo, the immune system mistakenly attacks these cells, resulting in areas of depigmented skin. The more that people understand what’s happening beneath the surface, the more we can help them see beyond the spots!

A little Angel's Big Splash insider look! 🐶📚 Dolly isn't just a character, she's inspired by our actual family dog! We wanted to bring a little piece of home into Angel's story, and seeing Dolly come to life on the pages was such a special part of creating the book.

Think about a time someone made you feel like you belonged. Maybe they saved you a seat, invited you to join the group, or discovered you both loved the same thing. Those little moments really stick with us!
So let's be the people who create more of them. Start the conversation, make the invitation, find some common ground, and don't be afraid to make room for someone new.
You never know what kind of friendship might begin with a simple “Want to join us?” 💕

I think growing up is partly about realizing you don't have to shrink one part of yourself to make another part fit. You can be passionate, silly, nervous, adventurous, confident all at the same time. So here's to being a little more comfortable taking up space as exactly who you are.

The best kind of beautiful has nothing to do with what you see in the mirror 🌼
It's being the person who makes others feel welcome. It's living life out loud, showing up as yourself, and having the confidence to embrace what makes you different.
Kindness. Confidence. Joy.
Those are the things that truly make someone shine!
If I could give one piece of advice to girls (and everyone) growing up with vitiligo, it would be this: find your people! 🌻
Connecting with others who understand what you're going through can make such a difference. It reminds you that you're not alone and helps you see that there's so much to celebrate about being exactly who you are. There is a whole community out there ready to cheer you on, and I hope you know you always have one here, too.

Just taking a little life advice from today!
It's so easy to get caught up in what we look like or compare ourselves to everyone else. But at the end of the day, confidence isn't about having perfect skin, perfect clothes, or a perfect life. It's about being comfortable enough to be yourself.
That's a look that never fades ✨
