It’s been forever since I posted my work! And I almost didn’t post this because I try to avoid formal styling. These days, I almost always refer to another stylist. The exception was my niece, and if it required any more bobby pins than this I would have said no.
But this post is actually a post of gratitude with a pretty head of hair to show off. You all know how I love to keep it real.
Days like the one I had today are the ones that make me wonder if God is telling me to give it all up and just be home with my kids. Today was the only day this week I was scheduled to work in the salon and I had a full long day booked. Well, God had other plans because I went to bed last night questioning how I would wake up, and when I woke up, I unquestionably had pink eye. 🙃 I absolutely DREAD contacting my clients to tell them I need to change or reschedule their appointments. But thankfully I now have a book full of awesome, understanding people who want me to take care of myself (or my kids when it’s them).
It’s really weird to be in this stage of my career. Where I once was posting ads and creating content trying to draw in as many people as I could to my business, has now turned into “should I still be doing this?” It’s the amazing people that I serve that remind me that God is still saying, yes!!! But some days just don’t go as planned. Fortunately keeping my germs out of the salon meant that I got to have a really great bonus day with nothing to do and nowhere to go with my kids, and it was such a beautiful day. 🙏🏼 Extra snuggles, giggles, and love (and a whole lot of hand washing and hot compresses 🤪).
Anyways there’s my long post. Hopefully that’s it for awhile.

Hi all! It’s been awhile since I checked in with everyone on social media. I just wanted to take a minute to get out some thoughts and gratitude!
I cannot believe how the time has flown. Baby girl Alice is already 7.5 months old and I’m trying to soak in what’s left of her being a baby! Catching up to her siblings WAY too fast.
The last couple of weeks I’ve been really reflecting on how my job as your hairstylist has changed, especially since having baby #3 and reducing my hours in the salon. When I’m not in the salon, I’m working so hard to balance my life and take care of my littles. My brain definitely has shown the results of chronic sleep deprivation and wearing probably too many hats. A lot of you have witnessed the results of this too. 😆 On top of that, my hubby and my schedules have seen a lot of changes, with winters sickness, appointments, and changing in babysitters availability, so my “salon hours” have had to change quite a bit too, sometimes they even vary week to week.
That’s why I just wanted to take the time to show gratitude and thank you for being loyal and understanding for having to schedule and reschedule around these things. Ultimately right now, I need my clients to have the ability to be flexible in scheduling too. My family is absolutely #1, but believe me, I love taking care of and servicing all of you, too! I understand that you also have busy lives, commitments and responsibilities. So if our schedules don’t work well together, I know a lot of amazing stylists who I could refer you to if needed, I promise you I will not be offended!!
Lastly, IF YOU DO NOT RECIEVE A CONFIRMATION TEXT BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT, DO NOT SHOW UP WITHOUT FIRST CONTACTING ME TO CONFIRM! I pay for this confirmation system as a courtesy, but also mostly to prevent booking errors on my end (which happen more often these days due to my brain malfunctioning).

Baby girl Alice is here! 🩵 She was born on Wednesday, August 27th at 8:58pm. She’s doing great!
I promised to update! I’m soaking in these first days, focusing on healing and my family. I will likely be reaching out next week to start planning for my return! I’ll be enjoying a full 6 weeks home with my family and then will be starting my “official” new schedule as a momma of 3 littles, and a homeschool mom!
Hours will mainly look like this:
Every Tuesday 12-6
One Friday a month 2-7
I plan to return in the second week of October!
As a reminder it will just not be possible to get everyone back in immediately, so let me know if you need a referral. I know many fabulous stylists! Same goes for my much more limited hours. Everyone’s lives are so busy, we will do the best we can! 🙏🏼

Hi everyone! Coming to you with an update!
Can’t believe how fast the time goes. Successfully made it through 7 weeks of work and settled back into my beautiful suite at LA Salon. 🙏🏼 I’m so grateful for this space and the people I get to work with inside of it. And of course all of you for “going with the flow” and all of this scheduling uncertainty!
As of 8/13 I am officially on “maternity leave” and this baby is still not here, I guess she’s pretty comfy still! We really thought she would be here by now!
I promise to update shortly after she makes her arrival, and what scheduling appts for after leave will look like. I know most of you will be “due,” but just a reminder that with my limited hours, it will not be possible to schedule everyone’s appointments for immediately following my return! We will take it as it comes, but I just want to reiterate that I know quite a few fabulous stylists that I am happy to refer you to if you need to have your hair done for the time being!
In the meantime, I’m just patiently waiting baby girl to come, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything! I’m so grateful for your support, as always, and thanks for making my last weeks at work before leave a little easier on this preggo!

A letter to my amazing clients:

Most of you know by now the exciting news - my family is growing again! My husband, kids and I are SO excited to be welcoming another baby girl this coming August 2025.

It has taken months of contemplation to decide the best best way to go about finding balance in my life as a hairstylist, wife, mom of 3 little ones, and to add a new title in September, a homeschooling mom as well! I feel so honored to have the privilege to wear all of these "hats!" I truly feel it is all such a blessing.

With that being said, I have made the decision to take a step back in my career as a hairstylist by reducing my hours behind the chair significantly. I am NOT giving it up! But in order to achieve more balance in my very busy life, I will not be re-signing my lease at Salon Social, which is up at the end of this coming June. It is bittersweet, as I love it here, but I need not to be obligated to work extended hours and days in the salon and to be able to be more present with my family.

As I "close" my doors as a suite owner, I'm so excited to announce that I will be returning back to the amazing salon family and home at LA Salon in Henrietta that I was a part of for more than 4 years before I chose to take a leap out on my own. I feel so honored and blessed to be welcomed back with open arms, knowing I have a beautiful salon, salon family, and salon home to utilize in this next very important stage in my life.

I will still be working in a semi-private suite, but my hours are going to be very limited, and unfortunately this means I won’t be able to accommodate all of my amazing clients. It has been incredibly difficult to make this decision having so many of you become amazing friends, who are like family. Many of you have been so loyal and have been returning to me for regular services for a number of years.

Beginning on June 24th, my new hours will be the following:
Every Tuesday: 12pm-6pm
One Friday a month: 1pm-7pm
I plan to work in the salon until August 12th, and then will return to work approx 6 weeks after the birth of my baby following these same hours. My prices will also increase slightly to accommodate these changes as well.

I fully intend to help make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone, even if that means referring some of my clients to other stylists who I feel will best fit their individual needs. I am blessed to have worked with and around some incredibly talented stylists, who are also really wonderful people.

If you have any questions, words or thoughts, I am an open book, so please feel free to reach out. I will respond when I am able to! In the meantime, those who have appointments booked outside of these new hours after June 21st will be soon hearing from me to see what changes can be made.

I am so incredibly grateful for each and every person who has ever supported my endeavors, whether you’ve sat in my chair once ever, or 100+ times! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I know for that for now, this is what’s best.
